I'll try one of those next time, but to be fair there was little that could be improved on. The haddock was a decent size, perfectly cooked, falling apart, with a really nice light crispy batter and the chips were just how I like them, well cooked and crispy. Nothing worse than anaemic soggy chips. They must have had a good day, if thry are normally average. I just need to remember to ask them to skin the fish next time.Trenchers is bang average these days. Magpie has drifted too. Church Street is where the quality is found now - Riverside and Mister Chips.
Wish I'd seen the home-made tartare though.
