First of all as you can see from the time i'm posting this my day to day home and work life are hectic and differs from day to day.
And anyone who had learnt to read i've already stated i neither have the time or interest.
Go onto VBulletin and take 5 minutes to build a bog standard forum that looks IDENTICAL to this one, maybe spend £10 on your own domain. Then hit 606 spamming your site name and get a couple of thousand hits in the first 24 hours. It takes about an hour, if i wanted to do it i would have by now.

Secondly you seem to only be able to react to other people's posts, you don't seem capable of coming up with something yourself.

OK so you posted on 606 inviting people over to here. You were well aware of the possibility of a massive jump in your number of members on this site.
You would have been aware that 606 was run with some pretty strict guidelines and that these new users would probably enjoy the freedom on a templated site such as this.

You asked for this influx of new users and it seems you have blindly panicked, and obviously made a mistake.

But the best thing a site owner can do in this situation is speak to those member's and get some advice/feedback. I know in the past you were open to it, IE within 24hrs of you posting on 606 and me suggesting you split the premier league into individual forums you did it, maybe that was your intention in the first place or others suggested it too i'm not sure.

Your problems at the moment seem to lie between the united and arsenal board's (possibly why most replying to this thread have no idea).
At the top of this thread there is a suggestion to split those who wish to argue and those who wish to be seperate from the rows, but either you haven't read this or have dismissed it without much thought.

First of all you can't really ban anyone from a site like this, i'm not sure if it actually gives you the option of an IP ban but most ISP's provide dynamic IP's instead of Static one's. And if you banned a dynamic IP you'd probably have to ban the range, not the individual IP as the IP would change everytime the banned member restarted his PC. To ban the range you'd end up banning anyone on the same ISP. If you were lucky enough to ban someone on a static IP an IP mask is a very simple tool to get round this.

If i'm honest i'm very suprised that you yourself still use your original username as owner, as this is probably the main reason people PM you. Familiarity breeds contempt and all that. I'd suggest you and your mod's have seperate account's for modding and for general posting. It would seperate you from the site and stop thing's being aimed at you and your mods personally.

I've clearly stated that i don't doubt the level of effort, just maybe the level of expertise. And if you don't know how to do something yourself to ignore what is obviously good advice being thrown your way is pretty rude. As i've said i can't mod, one day i'm working at one time the next week i could be commuting most of the day so would be unable to be around. In my job i have quickly learned that owners/managers find it very difficult to listen to the voice of reason or consult. I'm open to providing some advice as long as i know that advice is not ignored and has been at least thought about.

I would suggest the tongue rammers on this site have been patted on the head with their mod status and you have the Yes men effect, those that even very politely cannot make a suggestion that things aren't quite right.

I can say with some confidence that if you have mods on here warning people about swearing purely because of the team they support, and not warning other's for the EXACT same reason, on a site with a swear filter, then you have some quite large problem's with the current choice of mods.
If i was wrong there wouldn't be threads made like this on a daily basis.

Just as you were unprepared for the mass amount of new users joining this site i think you should prepare for the same users to start turning around and leaving. Your in a lucky situation, your only rival is a piss poor site built by a 5yr old. It will only be x amount of time before someone else figures out how easy it is to build and host a forum of their own.
