OK its nice to see so many following the Tigers particularly as Brighton have put so many barriers in the way. As a regular away traveller, I am now wondering why so many choose Brighton and not Bristol or Peterboro?

    Why are you going?
    New ground?
Weekend in Brighton even though its an expensive and horrible place?
Does it mean that a new away following threshold has been set?

The reason is that it's a seaside town, it's a late KO (alcohol) and they are just above us in the table.

Must say I'm surprised so many are going though!

Alot of people will now have a night out & to stay over, if they came down on train or can't be arsed with the long trip back home (you'd be cream crackered to do that in a day).

Peterborough was class. The atmosphere in the away end was brilliant from start to the end.

I'm sure it's a combination of a new ground tick, us doing well, them doing well and the chance of day out at the seaside.

Not sure what you've got against Brighton Mussie, I agree it's expensive, but there's decent bars/restaurants and it's good shopping on the Lanes, even the fish and chips on the pier aren't bad.(if anyone fancies fish & chips, then get them on the pier, most of the other places are shocking, there's even one on the beach the microwaves the fish ffs!)

    I went to Peterborough.

I'd imagine so many are going because it's a seaside place most wouldn't otherwise visit, it's a new ground to visit and it's two cracking teams.

I'm not one of the 1,000+ but I was originally looking at doing this one. New ground so one I haven't been there, and two it's going to be better facilities than trips to Bristol or Peterborough so more people will be happy to go. Just look at how many extra fans we gained for the second half of the season when we moved to the KC. It's a seaside town close to London, with the original kick off you could have had either a weekend by the sea, or a weekend in London with the Mrs, and I bet a few have had reservations they couldn't cancel so are going anyway. It's also getting close to being the last chance people have to go away while the weather is reasonably good.

Think it's fair to say this was earmarked as one of the away games of the season before the fixtures even came out, should be quite a lively support going down there.

Short trip for us exiled tigers stuck in the big smog plus a nice day out at the sea-side, new ground, fish and chips and extra drinking time. Why wouldn't you go? Can't wait for it.

I thought the reason was obvious.

almost agree. never miss an game anyway so was always going myself. but the late ko is a big blessing for me so that i can have anice lay in bed and leave around 10am ish and drive back to Hull saturday night when the roads are quiet.

have had many drunken nights in brighton over the years when it was much cheaper than it will be now. £20 would last you the night back in the days. Now, well its barely a round of drinks. for those staying down there enjoy the sights and i shall look forward to my own bed and another lay in on sunday morning. this game should be well worth a 550 mile round trip in a day.

Fishbowl pub do a really decent fish and chips to - and you can get pissed whilst enjoying them. I also agree, Brighton's wicked, not a horrible place at all!

It's an easy trip for me from Hythe about an hour and a half, plus it's the wife's first game so if she hates it, my ears will only have a short while to bleed on the way home, its great to see us doing well, and to see our away following will be fantastic.

Last time I went to Brighton there was a swing type ride on the pier .
I think it was called ' the Paratrooper ' or something similar .

After a few sherberts my oppo's and I decided it was a good idea to have a go on said fairground attraction .
My mate Jockers trainer flew off and went in the drink and my other mate barfed whilst the ride was still
    in motion .
Turned out not to be such a great idea afterall but I thoroughly enjoyed my night on the piss in Brighton .

Can't make the game due to work but I hope all those who have made the considerable effort have a good one .

Cant make it either, working abroad at moment. Guessing the number of fans going will be a result of lots of factors
New ground to visit for the anoracks
    Weekend at seaside for missus/kids
Southern ex-pat tigers will have easier trip
Bit of anal if your DJ
or could be money is better now? School holidays have ended, credit cards paid off and trip away before having to buy christmas presents
Team doing well the main attraction

Have a good trip all going down there, and do us proud (love away games, we generally make tons of noise)

Great to have another ground in the south. Living on the south coast, now have the choice of Brighton, Portsmouth and Southampton. My choice for promotion? City and any two from those three!!
