So actually Khan did get a bailout, although one of the conditions was that free travel cards for children be withdrawn. Perhaps Khan should put fares up so that users pay for the service. His problem is that passenger journey numbers have been in decline for years on rail, bus and tube.

It is reported that TfL was paying £402m in debt interest in 2020, with just a £12bn deficit. The £700m a year that TfL used to get from central government was abolished in 2015 by the previous London mayor.

I will simplify it.

The workers make the profit.

The billionaires keep it.

The billionaires don't do the work earning the profit.

The workers do.

It's why I understand that those who do the work don't reap the benefits.

 

If a business makes a loss how much should the "workers" contribute to make up for the loss?

If those who "do the work" reap the benefit why are employers needed at all and why should they get involved?

 

Ideally those that do the work should have an equal share.

 

They're lazy.

so who would want to invest money with the associated risks without getting any benefit?

 

The billionaire set up the business in the first place and employed the workers. The workers would be starving unemployed people without the people who originally started the business and got rich from it.

There is nothing to stop any of the workers from starting their own business and employing some other people to work for them. Then they could get rich and become billionaires as well.

The concept of ‘the Left’ has only existed for 150 years and it has been amazingly unsuccessful in that time because it attracts those who are only capable of criticising those who have done better than themselves.
