    Afternoon Lads,

What formation and line up do you think we should play on Sunday against Spurs?

    I personally would go for....

    Krul

    Simpson Colo Taylor Santon

    Marveaux Tiote Cabaye Jonas

    Ben Arfa

    Ba

I know its changing a winning team but surely Marveaux deserves a start now? And also Ben Arfa could cause them serious problems.

That is what I would go for but it is almost certain that our team will be unchanged.

I think making 3 changes from an undefeated team is too many.

Also, best is better at leading the line than Ba - - Ben Arfa and Ba are, I think, more or less alternatives.

Santon on for Raylor. Ben Arfa and Marveaux on for Ba and Obertan at 60 minutes

Anyone else think that maybe Jonas shouldn't start due to the amount of travelling he has had to do during the international break? Not sure when he got back but it can't have left him much time to recuperate.

This but swap Marv & Jonas sides so Jonas can offer a bit of protection to Simmo against Bale. But we'll probably be unchanged.

Got back yesterday as far as I know. Friday & Saturday should be enough to recover.

    As Alfie mentioned.

Also take into account that he would have travelled first class so shouldn't have had to suffer long haul travel in discomfort.

Santon can play any position down the flanks so why not try him Right Mid so he protects Simo, really hope Obertan doesn't start if Bale's fit.

  11. Why put Santon there?

Seriously lads, remember the last time we over reacted an opponents tactics/line up and played a silly line up?

We played a 5-3-2 vs Stoke, because we shat ourselves at their physical abilities, and we got creamed 4-0.

We should attack Spurs, and just get our wingers to track back. Jonas does it well, Marv is a hard working player, and the few times I've seen him he tracks back quite a bit and works hard.

    -----------Ba------------Best--------

    Jonas---------------------------Marv-----

    ---------Tiote-----------Cabaye---------

    Santon---Coloccini---Taylor-----Simmo

    -------------------Krul----------------

Bale will torture Simpson unless he is protected.

It looks like Obertan will start.

Pards will go for the same line up. And I would only switch out Raylor for Santon. Jonas and Obertan (especially the latter) really need to be switched on to cover the full backs against Bale and Lennon. I think with the Spuds injury problems we can sneak out a 1-1 draw.

According to Sky Sports Lennon is a doubt for the match.

Should be unchanged for me and I expect we will be. Sorely tempting to push Santon in but I'd stick with it until defeat. But I am very old fashioned and believe that is the best and fairest way to manage a group.

It is clearly the fairest way. Sometimes, though, there is a tnesion between doing what is fair to the players anbd what is best for the team

  20. How can you be sure of this? We thought Gervinho would rape Raylor but he managed quite well, and he didn't always have Jonas to protect him at times.

Marv can help out simmo, we don't need to play 3 full backs.
