Just been looking at Manchester United’s most recent set of accounts and **** ME. You can see why they wanted the ESL. They have borrowings of 515m and loans to other business interests (the glazers presumably) of 350m which is repayable on demand but would require them to put cash in just to balance it: You can see why the manu fans are a bit pissed off with the owners. At least MA doesn’t take money out of our club.
They would be too if not for the debt saddled of 900+m. Having said that I would rather be 2nd like: ha
I said it yesterday, but these fans are really bothered because the man City fans they took the piss out of all their lives are now sitting in the canteen grinning at them while they sip their drinks.
Personally I see mam united fans in a good light for stepping up against the super league, but this cry arsing about owners taking money out, when ultimately they're doing very well makes them look like spoilt brats. They're paying their ticket money and seeing their side win, getting in the champions league again, have some top top players, they spend alot of money on the product and they're going to win a European trophy this season.
I agree with this, the games gone mental with fan opinion. How does it make any difference to a supporter what is going on with finances? Our issue with finance is that Ashley has crippled ambition for his own selfish gain whilst not allowing the club to compete. That’s a long way from a Europa League final, 2nd place and a CL spot next season.
Man united fans were spoilt rotten for so long that even coming second is deemed unacceptable for 'UNITED'. they're essentially saying we should be 1st every year and because you're making money we're not winning everything anymore.. I think the glazers are bad for taking money out, but ultimately man united fans have absolutely no ****ing idea whatsoever how good they've got it as fans.
Wrong mate. He takes 'free advertising' thereby depriving us of quite a lot of commercial income as he undervalues it. Conservatively I'd say we are losing £10m a year but not selling the advertising on the open market... at least. He's therefore taking value out of the club. Remember we were once level with Spurs in terms of some income streams : https://footballeconomyv2.blogspot.com/2018/08/black-and-white-newcastle-and-spurs.html
