So, as well as what has to be the best era for humans to have lived in, we've probably had the best period to be a City fan too, and we've just ticked another box seeing us being Champions. We've had the Prem experience, and FA Cup final...so what's left for us to tick?
Champions of the Championship and stay in the Premier League longer than 2 seasons should be our aspiration.
One of the Goolies, no names no pack drill, is a 'box ticker', especially on his holidays to Thailand!
I'd like to see an independent Tiger Nation win the World Cup against a hybrid Germany/Argentina team.
To see the Junior / Reserves set up prosper even further and win something (they're not too far off). Which in turn leads into a Hull City first team comprised entirely of Hull born and bred players. (1 - 11 will do, the rest can be subs from wherever). And for that not just to be a token one off game.
We're inventing a time machine and heading back to the 60s/70s? Still a few ticks to pick up - League Cup Final, Champions League qualification, actually getting to the proper stages of the Europa League, that new European 3rd level competion they're starting. Winning a Cup/Premier League, Charity Shield
Far from being the best era to have lived in I would prefer 50's and 60's just my opinion, all this technology and drugs alcohol abuse screwed things up, women don't dress like women or behave like them, men don't act like gents no more no family values, and football is full of players that can't stay on their feet and fall over every time the wind blows, money ruined the game and most other sports, it certainly is shameful when players and sports people get so much money when the nurses, police and military get so little for risking their lives. Not such a great era really when you think about it.
Fair point, although there is an argument that the technology and lifestyles such as ,foreign holidays being much more the norm now, as well as the relatively better wages all round, plus health care and period of sustained peace we've been enjoying could tip the balance.
