For all the outcry about violence yesterday there are two points that (for me) have been ignored. 1. Peaceful protests are generally ignored. The biggest "kill the bill" demo took place on Sunday...the express/mail said 5000...organisers said well over 10,000. Did not get any (or much) publicity cos it was peaceful. Been on loads of demos that were ignored by the media. Only the ones that got violent got coverage. If peaceful protests are ignored they tend to be seen as pointless. 2. There are videos all over the net of some United fans being indiscriminately hit by the old bill. One shows a guy being held on the floor by 2 coppers when a third piles in and starts repeatedly punching him. It was caught on camera and a 4th copper was pushing him away to stop him filming the old bill punching a bloke being restrained on the floor by two others. Yet the media are ignoring this. The coverage is biased as ****.
Can someone take over the childminding shift whilst I'm out please? He's easily entertained but prone to crying quite a bit. Thanks and laters
