Yeah 10'8". Traditional longboard. Gone for more of a 'gun' shape, pulled in on the nose and tail for the bigger stuff. <ok>

Can't wait to get it finished and waxed up.

Thinking of getting a VW Transporter with a camping conversion. Anyone had one or seen any good ones?

Like comm said, you’ll pay a premium for a VW transporter, especially one that’s been converted into a camper.

Add in the Covid tax, as everybody seems to be buying them for ‘staycations’ and the demand is sky high. And that’s on top of the usual VW tax.

I’m on a couple of VW forums and even 15 year old camper vans are going for near the £20k mark. plus there’s a lot of **** out there, DIY conversions with leaking roofs and dangerous electrics etc. If you want a new(ish) California or factory built camper, you’re looking north of £40k

If you’re serious about buying a camper, I’d look at one of the more traditional motor homes. They are purpose built, often well looked after with low mileage and you can pick them up for between £10-£15k with everything you need on board.

We've been looking and the 20% covid tax is a killer. Was talking to a dealer Saturday, they're predicting a glut on the market next year, folk buying new vans 70 grand plus who've never been camping in their lives, not enjoying the experience and already looking to sell.
