I mean, it's a pretty strange way to delay the inevitability of your city rivals and the best team in that city winning the league. But each to their own eh

Getting the game postponed isn't necessarily a bad thing in ther grand scheme of things. It sends the biggest message to the owners. I just don't agree with the criminal actions that went with it.

Ah but City would Win the league, rather than ManU losing to hand them the league.

To me invading and shutting down your own stadium, surrounding your team's hotel and your team, possibly blocking their coach (and ours) is totally illogical. It's the owners they have an issue with so go to their UK head offices and pull this **** there, doing it where they are is just completely shooting themselves in the collective foot

neville has doubled downed and called it right.

    he needs the sack.

people tried to get carragher the sack for his scummy actions. he got suspended.

they just read out the premier league statement and now the sy lad has pointed out this is wrong and its criminal actions

and now neville is back on his rant and ignored the lead to shut up.

they would do well to cut him off now and stop this.

so utd now get a bonus advantage from this as they had a full game in their legs from thursday and will be on even ground whenever this is rescheduled.

I think it should be on this tuesday latest and let utd cope with the europa. any later than that affects our games coming up.

let utd play a reserve team.

nobody gave us any sympathy or help when we had to play in a fifa mandated tournament. why should utd then gain advantage from this?

Thing is, Utd are in the same boat as we are -who can they sell to? Anyone who can afford them will most likely to be just as autocratic and have the same motivations as the current owners.
Football clubs as "clubs" - an integral part of their community, are dead. At least the big ones are - we're all either an oilygarch's plaything, or a businessman's cash cow.

souness laying into them after keane and richard licking up to fans.

keane now admits a car got over turned.

souness absolutely laying in about flares and michah richard is now excusing this cos security wasn't good enough.

souness: there's always an idiot but you cannot underplay the violence. "i get the feeling we are saying this is right"

    lol.

I don’t think that they did this thinking about City TBF. It wasn’t about the title or anything like that. They were protesting against the owners of their club. They chose this game because of its high profile all over the world. We (our team) just got caught up in the struggle between fans and owners.

You coerced me into putting it on. Neville doing a piece to camera, then straight to Richards posing in a baker boy hat. Nope. Off you go

The Premier League has also issued a statement about the postponement of the game:

"This is a collective decision from the police, both clubs, the Premier League and local authorities.

"The security and safety of everyone at Old Trafford remains of paramount importance.

"We understand and respect the strength of feeling but condemn all acts of violence, criminal damage and trespass, especially given the associated Covid-19 breaches.

"Fans have many channels by which to make their views known, but the actions of a minority seen today have no justification.

"We sympathise with the police and stewards who had to deal with a dangerous situation that should have no place in football.

"The rearrangement of the fixture will be communicated in due course."

    also this

A couple of things we've seen on our TV feed from around Old Trafford over past couple of hours.

A police officer was seen having a chat with Gary Neville in the stand and the officer clearly had a cut around his eye, which had been taped up.

And from the aerial shot over the stadium, a group of people appeared to be trying to stop cars on the busy Chester Road nearby.

so clearly garry neville knows someone was hurt and doesn't give a crap.

not only were football fans watching a game slightly discommoded innocent people driving along were harassed and assaulted.

Also seen people throwing barriers at police outside the ground.

I think sky will wake up tomorrow to have found they have got this very very badly wrong.

Just a total tool of a person. Good on a football pitch. Unfortunately that's where it ends. Like most of them
