Very useful game. At least Xisco will have a clearer idea who can't cut it at the next level. 3 at least in my estimation - and based on several performances not just today.
Real shame for Hungbo - he started with real verve.

 

According to the BBC we still had more shots on target..

And one of the goals was a soft penalty.

 

Interesting discussion before the game. Briefly, there would have been two lists of transfers, EPL and Championship. Director of football said that there are areas that need strengthening. They will only bring in players who are better than existing ones. In my opinion there are a couple of forwards that should be easy to replace with better ones.

Too many changes (enforced or otherwise, an observation not a criticism) did for us coupled with a hungover performance. A real shame for Hungbo. PZ needs to up his game. AG was conspicuous by his absence after a couple of moments. WH is an able lieutenant not a midfield general. Taxi for success. Brentford didn't have to work too hard for that.

 

Would you want to give him a cuddle and tell him he must try harder?

 

This game only confirms my fear that we don´t have much strenght in depth. At all.

We have to hope Deeney is fit at last and the lad from Chelsea can at least put in some performances
