Max they can get is 40 Fulham are on 27 points with 5 to go as well. Max is 42. The reality check is where 17th is, as it stands Newcastle and Burnley are both now on 36 points. Brighton are winning right now v leeds and are live table on 37 West brom play wolves monday and fulham are being fed to the cheslea lions this evening. Both must win this weekend or they are all but down. I can see west brom winning but I would guess that cheslea will pick a b team that will involve masses of top players to give fulham a hiding.

Think Fernandino nobbling Raphina for the season may have a lot to do with it as he was their really on foem player .
that is true, a really strong runner that made a big difference. They do look pretty awful at the moment. It just makes me feel worse as we destroyed them first half and didn't even come out second half. We should be putting that to the sword by 3 or 4 even with no CBs.
The sheff utd and fulham results were narrow wins but the man city result was a complete shocker.. city's eyes were off the prize there. They did draw with Chelsea so yeah defensively they have matched up and the games are tight.
Probably minimum? 4 in the last 2 games, certainly 5 v fulham and brighton draw with that late pen is another 2. It is safe to say that even accounting for the cbs and that we could be fighting for 2nd tomorrow if the forwards had done what they ought to do. Chelsea should be chasing 4th against leicester but we have blown it time and again. Right now chelsea sacked Lampard rightly and may be rewarded by an fa cup and cl double with 4th. They have almost secured it right now.
Yes. It can be justifiably claimed that in some games we've failed to create enough chances because we've impoverished the midfield shoring up the defence - but even when we've created chances the conversion rate has been poor compared with recent seasons. As I've said before though, imo it's pointless pushing the panic button, all we can do is try to scrape a European slot this time and take stock over the summer.
For a moment I thought sod's law and Smalling would have a stormer. Only a moment though as they were gash. Tbh they gave us space everywhere on the pitch especially the midfield. Easy to play against. The problem is we'll be expecting the same tomorrow and be surprised why we don't look like Brazil 1970.
Yeah it's a dog fight for 7th and honestly although some should be playing for their futures if klopp is as ruthless as he needs to be. If we could get 5th what would it prove at this point? Some need to prove they are up for the fight though.
Sort of. Very very defensively sound. Esp as he has gone to azpi and rudgiger to go with silva rather than the mistake ridden others. Very athletic and strong as well. I find tuchel as a one trick pony though. He has a one track mind compared to Guardiola. I felt they should have taken 2 or 3 goal home from madrid but they had an idea before hand and the second they scored they went for holding. Against us he literally decided to pump it at werner and only won 1-0 when they could have handed us our heads. He wont last long as Abramovich will quickly tire of it imo.
No benefit of either side to be cagey and play for a draw . Everton realistically need a win to get into Europa.
