The ex-Posh mates will be facing each other for the first time since moving to new clubs.. Mackail-Smith has gone from strength to strength scoring for the seagulls and earning call-ups for Scotland.. Mclean hasn't been picked for l'Angletere as yet but has scored against his former employers.. Most City fans may have preferred the double-barrelled hitman to have signed for City but Mclean has proved a popular player so far despite not repeating his goal scoring feats of League 1.. But it's a team game afterall, do we expect Mclean to start in place of the injured Waggy and will the ex-Posh boys ripple the net on Saturday?
It's alright laughing at big Dele but he's at a top 6 club and hasn't been for the past 2 and a quarter seasons. Long may that run continue.
Stand him on the penalty spot. Brady one side, Stewart the other with the two of them being allowed to come inside and shoot or cross. Fryatt working off him for knock downs, Koren on the edge of the D to ping in the knock backs/half arsed clearances/pull backs from the wingers.
If you find a bookie that'll take that stick a tenner on for me as well, I was just trying to find a use for Adebola before we get to the end of the season and realise he's cost us more per minute than Bullard did.
just as long as the result goes for the Tigers i dont care who is the better player. its the team that matters most. CMS may have fatigue after the Spain game. We shall soon see.
I think Pusic will get another start maybe up front or thereabouts with Fryatt. Pearson seems to like him?
Basso Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dudgeon Brady Evans McKenna/Cairney Koren Fryatt McLean Either Cairney or McKenna, whoever is less unfit!!
Erm......no it isn't. CMS has a better career goals per game record, and in the Championship, his goals per game ratio is almost twice as good as McLean's.
Fortunately, there are another 10 blokes involved and another 5 on the bench, so the argument is irrelevant. Better team will win.
If you look at their Posh record McLeans is better, you can hardly look at there Non League Records. My point was more if you looked at there records last year you'd have thought we'd signed the better player. By what i've seen CMS is far better technical footballer the McLean
I dont think NP has made too many mistakes since he took over at City but signing Mclean for over a million is without doubt his biggest blunder. I cant say i knew much about either of them, but seeing CMS the last month or so he is a different class. Though as Theo says its a team game anyway, but goal scorers do win games when you are playing poorly.
Would it have been NP 's decision to pay that much for AM ? From what I understand SW checks out possible signings and more of less tells NP who to sign . NP then puts it to the board and AP does the rest . Like you say they haven't done bad so far in bringing in players and he's hardly been an unmitigated disaster.
