Scottish Election 2021

If you ever hear anyone refer to a TV show as "jumping the shark" a term used to denote the moment in the run that the writers completely lost the plot and sent the show into a never-ending downward spiral it is all thanks to Happy Days. There was an episode where The Fonz had to waterski jump over a water trap with a shark in it, a point considered the nadir of the show. Jumping the Shark has become synonymous with sh.it episodes ever since. True story.

Personally I had other issues with Happy Days. There was an older brother in the earliest episodes, he went upstairs one day and never came back down. The Fonz was meant to be some hard-ass Italian-American biker but was played by a diminutive German Jew, Joanie married a Chicano, there were no significant characters of colour apart from Mr Myagi who owned the diner and Mrs Cunningham looked like she loved the boaby.

To be honest, I think they are all ****ers. I have been Tory all my life but I wouldn't vote now in a General Election these days. I would however vote Tory in Scotland next week, just so the SNP don't get a majority.
