Because it wasn't a clear and obvious error. VAR hasn't helped by getting involved in scenarios earlier in the season when it shouldn't have. VAR needs to take far more of a back seat TBH.
Didn't expect a win but a heavy defeat. Even when we lose it 3-0 the fighting display will be the best thing to come out of the game. Has any other team been so badly cheated by officials and FAR over this season? No just Saints then.
Yes, I am aware of the shortcomings of the Officials, that is the crux of the problem, it is destroying fair play.
I agree that VAR needs to take more of a back seat, but this could have been an instance where VAR assisted. They could have asked the reason for his decision and if he says denying a goal scoring opportunity, that becomes a clear and obvious error due to Vardy never being in possession and Vesty getting the ball. If the ref says it was for serious foul play, it becomes more subjective and they can say it isn’t clear and obvious.
