Would work equally as well if his last four jobs had been Chelsea, United, Nott'm Forest, Tottenham. <ok>

I can see there being a lot of trouble and attention over this...

Albion Rovers' David Cox says he has quit football after claiming he was verbally abused about his mental health struggles by an opposition player.

Cox, 32, left the stadium at half-time of his side's game with Stenhousemuir and said he was taunted about his previous attempts to take his own life.

In a social media video, the part-time player said: "Second half just starting Albion Rovers-Stenhousemuir and I have left the stadium. I wasn't playing tonight, I was on the bench.

"One of the boys in the Stenny team, we were having a bit of to and fro and they had a go at my mental health. Told me I should have done it right the first time.

"Some folk might not think it's a big deal, but I'm fed up listening to it. I don't get paid enough for it.

"If they had put me on the park, I'd probably have broken the boy's legs deliberately. I tried to speak to the referees about it, but they didn't want to know because they didn't hear it.

"So I'm going to do something about it and for me it's leaving the game. I'm done with it. I either keep playing and I'm going to batter somebody on the park, which is not good and will result in me being the bad one."

From what I read of it, David was dishing out the banter himself and then it went a bit too far and his feelings got hurt.

I dunno what anyone can do about that tbph.

if it was banter back and forwards with a black lad and they then started turning nasty and insulting his skin colour, would you say the same?

    That's a fair point.

I actually reread it and the other lad had clear prior knowledge he had attempted suicide and went in for it, obviously a nasty ****.

Horrible. Shame the guy who dished it out wasn’t man enough to do it facing him with nobody about.
Mental health and suicide are not something to try and get some ‘bantz’ on, if this was a racial incident then the **** would hit the fan. Hope the nasty **** get ****ing broken in half

I was wondering why VAR hasn't stepped in. I wondered if there was a certain amount of unconscious bias with the ref, seeing who it was that went down. I felt the lad got the ball, but I could see why the foul was perceived how it was.

He's unlucky coz he did get the ball ... but presume he's judged to be out of control when launching himself and there is no question that he does follow through and catch Vardy ...

Skip the first 30 seconds of that clip, as they're pointless.
Gets the ball, but he does stud the **** out of his ankle. Don't think he meant to.

He gets the ball quite cleanly and then gravity took effect I feel.

Either way that's Southampton getting beat now.

    Ruined game
