Think for the first time MOTD has just shown what we've all seen Jose doing throughout the season, and gotta say it worries me with all the speculation surrounding him lately, i preffered it when everyone else thought he was crap from what they saw of him 2 years ago! Hope we get him tied down quickly, or else I can see him going in the summer for a fee that would be pathetic considering he's probably the premier leagues 3rd best left back and has a lot more years ahead of him than the 2 above him.

Would he join United or anyone else? He says he want to stay, but so did Carroll. And could we blame him for moving to a champions league club?

Totally agree, he might love the club but why would he want to stay at a team that shows so much potential to be built upon, but instead of building FCB wants to sell each asset to a better team, wouldn't begrudge Jose of showcasing his talents on a better stage. But its more the fact that with 18 months left on his contract he'd be sold for peanuts when you think how good he is/and can become.

I don't recon he'll leave, nor Tiote for that matter.

Mind you, i told my mates i was 100% sure that carroll would remain a toon player once liverpool launched their first bid...

He seems to love it in newcastle; said he doesnt care if even chelsea offer him a place and it'd be really amazing if he did stay, he's one of our best and most loyal players but would I blame him for moving on to a champions league team? Probably not. He's been with us for a long time; stuck with us through the championship season and been one of our 3 best players last and this season. If he wanted to move on to help his international career I wouldn't begrudge the guy but I'd be gutted for our team because he seems like an important part of the team spirit and build up and replacing him would be impossible - there is no better left back in the world.

3 years ago Spurs were finishing 11th, but they had a few good quality players like Bale and Modric that with time and patience they could build a great team around, now look at them. I feel we've got as much potential with players like Jose, Tiote and Barton (would of also included Carroll but he's gone...) that we seriously could build a good side around. But Spurs never had teams bidding 35 million for there players, whereas we find ourselves in a position where clubs are willing to pay over the odds for our top assets and until we find out how we spend the money we're stuck in this uncertain phase where were not sure if were taking big steps forward or big steps back.

Unfortunately mate I' afraid the term "to tie a player down" doesn't exist anymore...
I mean look what happenned with Carroll who was on 5 years.

    So did Darren Bent. <whistle>

In a way I'm pleased MOTD featured Enrique last night, he was magnificent yesterday and it would've been a shame if that went unnoticed. If he does leave I hope he goes to Barca, I think they'd be a good fit for each other and we wouldn't have to see him play against, and if we did that would mean we're back in Europe so I'd be too pleased to care.

I wouldn't feel any dissapointment towards him if he left to be honest, he does deserve to be at a greater club, and this could be his way into the spain squad.
I would just be gutted though :\
