We just spent more on our new training facility than Celtic's transfer budget for the next 10 years ...

We are competing for a CL spot in the most competitive league in the world for the second season running, having won the title in 2015/16 ... avoiding relegation is now for other clubs, our fans expect much more.

The economic reality is that we could buy any of Celtic's best players ... in contrast Celtic would need to look to our academy lads to afford any of ours ... just as Rangers did with Calvin Bassey... good prospect by the way, but was well down our pecking order in terms of breaking into the first team squad.

This is true ... but then again we do have much more than one team to beat each season.

Can't knock the European trophies won, but both Glasgow clubs are lagging behind Nottingham Forest on that front .. both in the number and relevance to the modern game ... and Forest are currently mid-table in the English Championship... Indeed Fulham have been in a European final more recently than either Celtic or Rangers ... and they'll be playing Forest next season.

 

No need for abuse if you're only delivering facts, so on that note, this is how you deliver facts:

Failing to reach the CL will bring no pressure on Leicester.

Spending multi millions on failed ****e players will bring no pressure on Leicester.

Failing to win a single trophy will bring no pressure on Leicester.

Spending 100 million for EPL mediocrity and still being employed is a lot of breathing space for a manager.

Big jobs don't get that kind of room.
