I’m not against change or these comps evolving, ideas to improve them should always be discussed imo. Only the one they’ve chosen for the CL makes **** all sense.

I don’t like the 2 ‘legacy’ club idea (more irony lol) as it both sets a dangerous precedent and is only in there to try and appease the very same clubs who plotted to jib it off. They should defo remove it.

It’ll be interesting just how long they allow the 3 remaining clubs to not formally leave the company that set up the ESL btw. Seems completely transparent what they’re trying to achieve with that i.e. be the clubs who’d receive whatever the penalty fees for withdrawal are divided up between them. But surely that process is going to take ages with likely legal challenge etc. So are they going to allow them to still sit on that board, whilst continuing to carry on as normal in next years CL?

I dont know but there will come a point where the simplest solution will be to run this super league during the off season ;)

If perez keeps it up about contracts and such then someone will eventually ask for their joining money and he will have to default on it.

Just ask him for our first years money. When he defaults tell him hes broken the contract.

Just a question, in the context below is this already getting forgotten?

It is now a week later and the media furore as died off. Boris johnson has probably forgotten about his legislation soundbites and we have seen top 4 battles, relegation fights and city win another cup.

The Oscar's are dominating the news today.

The changes to EUFA FIFA comps are always the same - more games .Nothing to do with improving them just a means of squeezing out more money or votes .

It's 100% been forgotten about. Even fans of those clubs no longer feel as strongly about it, some have even stated defended them!

dunno who would defend that attitude.

Its fine imo to give some ire towards the opportunists that are seeking to take advantage now or for uefa for not giving any sort of punishment or to disagree with the mini super league CL format, or indeed to debate what's actually realistic in terms of punishment but I have not heard anyone say FSG deserve any defence.

I do think that the time to "strike" is now not in a months time for the premier league. If they can't agree now when the time to put the restrictions in is most possible then what will they be able to agree in 3 months time.

In theory 3 of the 14 will be gone by the time they decide and the next 3 up (2 already decided yeah?) might be more open to a bribe for the big 6.

I have not heard of a premier league meeting arranged to decide anything.

one possible outcome form discussing the difference to italy was that the points deductions were given for the following season.

For me it would be more realistic to deduct points next season however I've read some absolutely ridiculous articles where people put numbers like 40 points down. all that would end up is in CAS and be thrown out.

You are effectively saying to a club is you now all need to run at 80points sort of target just to stay up so with 6 clubs you are probably dooming 2 or 3.

If thats what the other 14 want then they would cut their own throats but most of all it would just be appealed, you really want something they will grumble and swallow but most of all do something to change the rules to prevent this stuff in future.

It would be very stupid of the league and UEFA to do it though wouldn't it?

It always takes them an age to get their arses into gear over a crisis. They'll be thinking about perhaps getting round to pondering the matter at some point, but this won't be news so we won't be hearing about it until they flop it out.
At the very least you'd expect them to go over the rules and ensure there are no ambiguities or loopholes that the hot-shot lawyers can get on to, so that it can't happen again without dire - and specific - consequences.

Yes that really would seem the absolute minimum.

I kind of feel the sharks are more interested in grabbing power in committees than actually doing this stuff.

Like parish even went as far as to claim he knew about stuff but let them on. Is he therefore admitted breech of some rule nor other?

The porno kings and brady just want to grab more tv money and the rest seem asleep

I dont think evertons guys have said a word but I've not looked

thanks for that. As i said i haven't looked. was that after the 14 met and agreed their response?

Have they said anyone at all on the aftermath on punishments?

Its a good statement for the day that was but I'm really wondering in comparison to west hams self publicising and how parish is loving the limelight.

Same for Leicester for example I haven't really heard anything out of the other clubs too much about punishments they want.

Henderson: “People can disagree with me saying this, but my opinion is that our owners have been good for Liverpool. If you have a problem with me saying that, fair enough and I respect that. But my opinion is built on my own first-hand experiences.."
