We’re always dog **** in cup finals. Granted, they are few and far between, but it’s never a pleasure to watch. We need to change it up at half time. We’re no threat whatsoever and it’s a matter of time before this goes from a difficult task to an impossible one.
0-0 HT. Awful half. Trying to park the bus and we've limited their shots on target, but offered absolutely nothing. I don't expect Mason to change any personnel at half-time, though. Big kick up the arse for them, of course. Hard to criticise individuals, as everyone's been pretty poor, at best.
That should’ve been Laporte’s second yellow. ****ing abysmal by us though. Lucas the only person interested in doing something, pretty much everyone else ****ting themselves when they touch the ball, when you know the opposition is gonna dominate possession you have to be better with it in the chances you get it and we’ve just been awful.
Difficult to blame Ryan but the midfield set up is killing us. None of them good or strong enough on the ball to help us break out of this City siege. Aside from Toby's diagonals we have zero links from defence to attack. I would bring on Tanguy or Lamela for Lo Celso and play with a triangle of midfielders with Winks and Hojbjerg sitting in behind them.
I’m hoping he does switch it up...it’s once a lifetime opportunity for him...be brave and do whatever it takes to improve on this. Nothing to lose.
To be fair to Laporte he is not stupid and he wouldn't have committed the 2nd foul. But thats the real issue if he is booked the first time and he lets Lucas go who knows..........Well we have a pretty good idea it would still be 0-0. Only 1 winner unless Mason is a genius in his HT team talk - we will see.
I agree. If we carry on like this they will score eventually. I’d rather we actually attacked and caused a threat than just sit back waiting for the inevitable
