Yeah, but conversely if he goes against VAR advice it becomes a similar talking point. He had direct experience of that when he went against VAR advice when he gave us that peno at Castle Greyskull.

yeah, so it’s the on field ref who is swayed by the ultra slow replay.

If that decision ends up costing West Ham a CL place, the officials should be made to pay them the compensation from their own pockets.

Typical ref has never played the game and not got a clue.

was a brilliant decision. That little flick after the accidental coming together from The Best RB in the world in DCL.

Only because he's been told it's a red and should be checked.

He's a ****in idiot for choosing to send him off.

West Ham, last two times the qualified for Europe, they were knocked out by same team. Plus Moyes isn’t great in Europe. He is doing West Ham a favour here.

Yeah he held his nerve and had faith in his own decision, but got grief for it. Path of least resistance is to go with the VAR advice.

I dint disagree. But he has final say. The ultra slow replay always make stuff look horrible.

VAR didn't tell him to send the player off, though. They told him to look at it.
Graham Scott was the first to go against it in our game against Brighton, IIRC.
He ignored a really obvious foul in the buildup to their goal, despite being told to look at it again.

Either decent bait or really poor judgment that.

    Let the people decide <laugh>

There's still an implicit pressure to go with the VAR officials though. If they aren't trying to sway him towards making a decision to send him off, then they wouldn't have flagged it.

Not anymore it seems. There was no need for this game to be covered in any sort of controversy. All he had to do in the final minutes of the game, was walk over to the player and say this is how it looks, and leave it at that. But nah.

Wham should win their last 5. If they do they’ll take a CL spot.
