Bet the grounds man is happy with Brownies comments on our pitch .....

"The pitch wasn't conducive to a good game of football, but we still didn't hurt them enough in the first half. I need my players to have a 1-0 advantage mentality rather than a 1-0 deficit mentality"

The mentality they need to be developing is the league 1 mentality ..... <laugh>

At the end of the day that was one of the easiest 1-0 victories I have ever seen. We simply outclassed them in every department. He really is clutching at straws spouting crap like that, but that's football managers isn't it... Oh well onwards and upwards and goodbye and good luck to all those we have left behind.

The fans are warming to Pearsons no bs approach now, took a while though! I bet Prestons pitch isn't exactly perfect.

Brownie may have a point, has anyone actually checked the prozone stats on our grass?

Nah it's not that. Fans are warming to a long good run climbing the league. If City go 10 games without a win it'll be back to NP is "dour" "dull" "lacks passion". Fans only care about a losing manager's personality.

Aye i didn't think there was any need to say that tbh. Especially with our quick passing football, and the way we mainly keep it on the ground. Even more so after NP had praised his side, and praise i agree with i have seen far worse teams than that in this division and i think they can get out of it if they start picking up some wins somewhere down the line!

Completely agree, they were awful, couldn't play football atall they just had it in the air all the time which made it near impossible for our players who actually wanted to play to get anything out of the game.

I haven't really noticed the pitch too much except the small bobble when Fryatt skied it in the dying embers of the game against QPR.

We've never had any problems or been criticised before, I wonder where the groundsman's got to?

The pitch is in a pretty poor state at the moment it has to be said however it isnt as bad as the scunthorpe one and there was some very good passing in the build up to most of our goals then so it doesnt seem to hinder us too much!

Could all that snow and ice in December be effecting the state of the pitch?

It was due to brownies stint gardening the pitch so he only has himself to blame

Yeah whilst on "gardening leave" he's become an expert in something..

Brownie is a confidence manager.. PNE don't have any and without the players I can't see them getting out of the mess.. to be fair PB didn't get them in it.. but talk of "imagine yourselves as a PL club" when he joined were a bit far-fetched..

But like all managers, they should stick with him in League One (undoubtedly where they'll be) as he can then build his own team & bring them up again..
