Once again true fans are let down!

I have been out for a few drinks yes, and have been drinking all day so you could say I have had a lot.

However, having just had a conversation with a good mate of mine who I met on holiday last year from Blackburn, we keep in touch quite often, and his status on facebook read '****ing geordie ****s!!'

Obviously, this caused me to ring him to find out what had upset him, I was thinking it was just the game, but then he told me this story.

He goes with his dad, and he left early to bring the car round to the main road to pick his dad up. Whilst his dad was walking to the car, he was abused and pushed by Newcastle fans. His dad admits to saying 'where did Shearer win the league' and these Newcastle fans took it in the wrong way and abused him, one pushing him, my mate got out of his car and quickly escorted his dad to the car, and away they went.

This is exactly what I have been talking about with a few members on not606, about how I hate these away games. I got a text this morning from a mate saying he couldn't wait, I text back saying I can't stand these away games, they really do bring out the arseholes who never travel anywhere else. A lot of you know I go to all the away games, so see every different type of support that we have to offer, and I have to say today was terrible.

I was drinking in the Golden Cup, just up the road from the ground, and I got a lift down to the ground in our minibus because we were going to park in the coach park. We past the Fernhurst, everyone had left by this point, it seemed as though the police had forced them away as it was at least 20 minutes before kick off. Bottles everywhere, a red peugeot was parked right in the middle of the car park outside the pub, with bottles spread all over the roof, yes, whoever left it there is a fool, but come on, I don't give a **** if you are a couple of hundred miles away from home, you just don't do that!

I found myself apologising to my mate on the phone, saying that it was one of those away games that attract the ****ing dickheads that follow our team, saying it was obviously a minority. But having read 606 on the Blackburn board, there were a few complaints there as well, Newcastle fans acting like right ****s away from home.

I have always seen our support as sensational away from home, and still do believe that, INSIDE THE GROUND, outside the ground however, its a different story.

Kids of about 13-14 years old getting their tickets taken off them for being drunk! Deservedly so, and well done to the police for doing what they did.

I am livid that it happened to a good mate of mine from fellow Newcastle supporters, which is why I hate these away games. Stay away from our club if you are going to act like complete tits, and attack people for participating in a bit of banter!

Didn't go to the pub but there was a lot of youngsters at the game that don't usually go.

( cont.) A lot more than usual and when you get them in big groups they tend to show off a bit and want to be Jack the Lad. I don't know why so many chose this game to go to but they travelled on all the different couriers.

As to the damage done to the car, the pubs security cameras should have them on on film. I hope they get caught and end up paying for their stupidity. They sure as hell wouldn't like their cars trashed.

 

Nothing serious, just a little high jinks but no damage done. Just a bit annoying.

 

Might sound stupid , but a lot of the bloggers on nufcblog.org all went to this one. A lot of them had never been to an away game and they decided to meet up there. There were about 50 going I heard. Possible suspects...

 

Easily more than 50 people at that pub considering the amount of bottles on the floor. The Fernhurst seem to encourage it though.

It really annoys me as I will never see these arseholes at an away game again for the rest of the season.

In all fairness, it's stupid to say things like that to a bunch of Newcastle supporters who are complete strangers. It's pure common sense that you don't know how someone will react and that it may be considered antagonising.

I've heard of fights breaking out over a lot less.

 

I did a post last night about the last time we played at Blackburn and the the trouble that resulted at the Fernhurst.

Fighting among ourselves in the car park and the police and mounted police had to intervene.
