Claim of PL being confident seems to come from the PL accounts which state “the PL does not consider that it has any liability.” What exactly would anyone expect to see in the accounts? “Liability likely in sum of £340M.” Bit of a giveaway in the litigation if they did.
Ben Jacobs completely misinterpreting. Liability would indicate compensation and/ or costs. Arbitration is to force through the takeover. The PL are not going to admit thst they will lose as it just makes them look stupid.
I said from day one that the legal shot could swing either way. Its either arbitration to get the deal. Or it’s litigation for compo. Which is it. And **** me it can’t drag on much longer. We have seen murderers get convicted quicker: ahem.
