I don't mind disagreement I do see your point with Walcott but what salary will that change from the bench cost? We need strengthening , no doubt, but I just don't see it happening to the level required. I wouldn't renew Bertrand or Walcott for the questionable hunger and the potential wages involved that could be spent elsewhere. I'm always grumpy after a defeat . ..
is used throughout the club, development through to first team and creates a template for player development and signings ... Can this player play this way?
I don’t get the poor opinion of Walcott. He was blistering during our good run of form and has been absent through most of our bad run, and has only had about four appearances including some from the bench since returning. He hasn’t really been back in form since then, but look at the shysters around him who have been out of form for much longer.
He's NOT a bad player and I don't lay blame with him. But he as little end product for me and I would spend our limited finances elsewhere, unless he comes on the cheap. Another Tella type signing would be my preference.
If this true, it shows that Danny has a low opinion of the players around him. Why does he think he needs to run bad to play right back, as well as every other position apart from goalie? Does Mo Salah or Gabriel Jesus have to do it? No wonder he gets injured so often.
A free transfer does seem quite cheap to me. (And there's no risk of us matching his current Everton salary!)
More likely referring to the general lack of movement around him. He’s seldom the only one running; he’s often the only one running into space.
Sorry, Tella on form gets in my team ahead of Walcott. Just my opinion of course. He did far more than theo yesterday and will improve which in turn makes us money, theo won't. If he's a squad player on reduced wages ... OK.
We have never seen Tella "on form" . We have seen him have a few good spells during games as well as 1 or 2 very promising performances. But he has followed up good these games with below average displays. This ism't really a criticism as he is only young - just pointing out the he has never been consistently effective in a run of games.
