    3 pm kick off Saturday
    Changes have to be made

    Ingram
    Coyle Burke greaves elder
    Jones doc
    Honeyman
    Wilks. Magennis. Klp

    Maybe not honeyman if he isn’t properly fit and Crowley or Whyte comes in.
    They’re going to attack, they’re back to a bit of form now, will suit us down to the ground. Klp needs to offer support to elder and Wilks to Coyle if were under the cosh.
    Tight game but 2-1 to the mighty tigers

    Agree about the team. Wilks seems to lack interest unless the ball is in or around the penalty area. His closing down jogs are for show only and i wouldn't hold your breath on him helping coyle out. Having said that he's in for me because of what he does in and around the penalty area.

    The name Lincoln derives from the Iron Age Celtic Lindon, meaning pool by the hill; a reference to the Brayford pool.

    The Romans built a fort on the site, and it was known as Lindum Colonia and gave rise to the city’s modern name Lincoln.

    The Fosse Dyke canal, which runs from the Brayford pool to join the river Trent at Torksey, was built by the Romans to improve trading links from Lincoln, and it is the oldest working canal in the country.

    When it was completed in 1311, Lincoln Cathedral took over from the pyramids as being the tallest structure in the world, a record it kept for over 200 years.

    In the 13th century, it became England’s third largest city, after London and York.

    William Foster & Co during World War One, invented the battle tank.

    Lincoln is where the story of the Magna Carta began - and ends. Lincoln Castle is home to one of only four surviving copies of the document dating back to the 13 century.

    The devil was envious of the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral and sent three of his imps to create trouble and cause mischief. Which they did, they broke tables, tripped up the Bishop and threw stones at the angels in the Angel Choir.

    The imp that caused most trouble in the Angel choir sat cheekily up high and was promptly turned to stone where he had perched temporarily and is now immortalised there forever.

    Lincoln City moved to Sincil Bank from their only previous ground, the John O’Gaunts ground, back in 1895.

    In the 2016/2017 season, Lincoln became the first non-league club to progress to the last eight of the competition since 1914 after beating Premier League Burnley.

    The club made their first and only ever appearance at Wembley Stadium during the 2017/2018 season, beating Shrewsbury Town 1-0 to lift the EFL Trophy.

    Would it be heracy to suggest whyte ahead of klp?

    Seemed to be back to snatching at stuff last time out when he needs to keep composed. Whyte a steadier head?

    IMO KPL doesn't get enough of the ball, as we seem to be favouring this long cross field ball to Wilk's. KPL looks a real threat going forward when he has the ball, he just needs more of it. Having said that Whyte is also a very good player, and whether he played or KPL, it doesn't weaken us as a team.

    Another big game, we need to get something from it, a draw would not be a bad result, though obviously a win is what we crave.

    I think McCann will stick with the same team, he might be tempted to play Burke and move Jones to midfield, but that would be harsh on Slater who has done well since being in the side.

    They've hit form again so its not gonna be easy this .. but our away form is fantastic .. they will come at us and hopefully we can play our counter attacking game and take the chances. I ha e to say while a win would be terrific .. the important thing is not to lose .. I'd be happy with a point in this one.

    I agree, the ball is definitely played to Wilkes far more than KLP who has been trying too hard, but that is because he knows he gets the ball less frequently. He is also a far less selfish player than Wilkes, I was surprised to see Wilkes send in the two crosses for Magennis, he usually dribbles towards the back line cuts back on his left, tries to take on three players then loses the ball leaving 2-3 free players in the box waiting for a tap in. He is a real enigma, flashes of brilliance which cover a whole load of mediocrity.

    GM: In terms of team news, we're the same as we were on Tuesday. Everybody came through fine. Jacob Greaves is fine. Thomas Mayer is out of his boot and will start working on the grass in the next few weeks.

    McCann's team talk.

    Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
    when the blast of war blows in our ears,
    Then imitate the action of the tiger;
    Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
    Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
    Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
    Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
    To his full height.
    I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
    Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
    Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
    Cry 'God for City, England, and Saint George!'

    I never noticed before that McCann had a hump on his back.
