If Spurs want Aarons still Skipp plus a briefcase full of money would be a great deal if Skipp wanted to join us. Skipp is a Spurs fan so he would only leave if they don't think he's good enough IMHO
A spurs friend really doesn't rate skipp, never said why though, but has anyone else heard any spurs fans thoughts?
Money spent since relegation approx £7.45m according to that Sky article graphic... please log in to view this image Plus the obligation to buy Gibson, Giannoulis (and likely Quintilla), could already outlay in the region of £18-20m following the end of this season. I'm not expecting many further buys as a result, unless as expected one or more of Aarons, Cantwell or Buendia get snapped up. In which case I'd love to see Skipp return, another decent CB and a replacement for whichever position leaves.
Another rumoured CB possibility: https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwi...norwich-interested-in-celtic-defender-7915000 With 21 caps for Norway having just turned 23, Ajer ticks a lot of boxes. At 6'5" he's a ball playing CB with an 85% pass success ratio. He can also play at RB or DM.
Speaking of Webber, this is what sets him apart: https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/webber-will-always-be-brutally-honest-at-city-7915358 Also includes the podcast 'Patience, Preparation and Planning". These three words say it all.
They can twitter off. He should go to a club higher up the standings than that cheating outfit (Tevez, Mascerano I am referring to). If he goes at all of course.
Pinkun reporting that Aarons has been told he can leave this summer. Presumably the caveat being a sensible offer has to come in.
Could Ayer from Celtic have legs ? https://www.footballfancast.com/new...fer-norwich-bruce-farke-premier-league-gossip
We don't need him, we already have one of the best RB's in the premier league, as for cheating, Man Utd & Liverpool had the same arrangement with MSI, see any £30m fines for them?
With a reported £180m coming to NCFC for being in the PL, do we need to sell anyone? Do I take it that Aarons wants to leave and we are happy to cash in? OK, this is a request: we must have earned £many millions being in the PL in 2019/20 followed by parachute payments 2020/21 plus the £millions for 2021/22 Can somebody please explain why we need to sell players? Genuine request
I don't think we 'need' to sell, but a lot of the money goes out of the door in contracts, signing on fees, wages, bonuses etc. (Agents...boo!) It was also a significant figure lost having a whole season and a half playing behind closed doors. We have also spent significant sums on the academy and training facilities in recent years and it all adds up. Plus I think the £180 million figure is for 1 season of prem plus 4 years of parachute payments unless I am mistaken?
Thanks ZK. Let say 25,000 crowd x £30 a head x 23 home matches x1.5 seasons? Approx £26m. Your last statement might be clarified by another contributor to this forum.
I did some further digging... I find this a bit too interesting for my own good I think! Covid has caused rebates to the broadcasters, reducing income by £8 million: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/53269231.amp This has a table with the figures of income from the last season we were in the prem: https://sillyseason.com/money/premier-league-prize-money-100681/ So for being in the prem for 1 season and finishing last we got £96.5 million plus about £77.5m over the course of two years first year is £42.6 and second year £34.9 according to the table here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premier_League_parachute_and_solidarity_payments#Parachute_payments So in total we earned £139.1 from TV over the past two seasons: 2018/19 we lost £33 million after tax 2019/20 - wages down to 75% of turnover (down from 162%! However that includes the promotion bonuses) due to increase in income and as a result we made a £1.9 million profit after tax. Covid ate into that potential profit with £12.7 million and we spent a similar amount on the training ground in the last two years, here's the brief statement from the last results: https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2020/november/club-releases-annual-accounts/ I skimmed the financial results and as far as I can tell even with Covid we paid off the overdraft and made a £2 million profit, we were aiming to make a £20 million profit without Covid then we spent a bit more dropping this down to a potential £14 million profit. As ever with Football money tends to be absorbed in wages and large transfers are paid over 2 or 3 years so we didn't have all the money from Godfrey/ Lewis yet.
Great work ZK. As for Aarons, the Pinkun suggests that a 'deal' was done last year that if he stayed this year, he could move on at the end of the season if a suitable offer comes in. My guess is that this is a Madison type deal to finance new acquisitions for the PL. On the new acquisition front, this is the latest rumour: https://the72.co.uk/232674/norwich-city-rivalling-southampton-roma-for-signing-of-boubakar-kouyate/ Here's the Pinkun take on it: https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwich-city/canaries-transfer-rumours-metz-boubakar-kouyate-7922066 Like Ajer, he's a CB who can also play at RB or DM. He meets the criteria for a work permit as a Malian international with enough games at the top level for Metz in France.
Aarons to Everton heating up https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/04/...as-fabrizio-romano-shares-huge-transfer-news/
Fair enough, if they'll meet our valuation hopefully it gets done at the start of the window. It'll mean we can establish our budget for the window and get started with our own business. Hopefully we don't have a "transfer hangover" this year with players unsettled into September.
