Sunderland have today been linked with PSV Eindhoven hitman, Ola Toivenen.

The Swedish striker, 25, has scored 35 goals from just 76 appearances for the Dutch giants having arrived at the Phillips Stadion in 2009.

According to talkSPORT the Swedish international would command a fee of around £8m.

Toivenen has won 13 caps for his country scoring just three goals. However the former Malmo forward did score the crucial goal to help his country qualify for Euro 2012 this week.

There's certainly been some excellent exports from the Eredivisie over the years but some equally bad one's too, is Toivenen the man to fill an Asamoah Gyan-shaped hole?



Anyone know out about him or seen him play i know its only a rumor but we do need a forward

 

He is ****ing **** mate.

He's a ****ing cheat, dives all over the place, feigns injury to get people sent off, totally pathetic, think Drogba 3 years back x 5, less the ability.

His touch ain't great and he isn't quick, that goals record in the Dutch league is pretty average playing for PSV, note Van Nistelrooy/Suarez/Kuyt records in Holland by comparison.

Lets hope this one is bollocks.
