It doesn't quite tally with all my posts this season about our potential relegation being framed in the manner of "if we go down then we go down and will deserve it", even to the point of congratulating a couple of Fulham fans, and meaning it, when they were playing well and looking like they were going to overtake us as - in fairness - they were playing a better style of football than us.
