Wonder if we'll have stripes again next season. I've heard talk of a blue and yellow third kit, which would be different.

Good decision - local company and not gambling/betting.

I hope it isnt East Yorkshire bus blue and yellow. Its bad enough having a fat arse, never mind dressing up as a double decker.

Badly fading memory here, but am I mistaken thinking that in the 50's and 60's the bus colours were yellow & black? The nickname of the EYMS bus line was "Yakker" to the locals?
Some old farts on here should be able to confirm.
Edit: Not implying you are an old fart TOM. :emoticon-0149-no:

EYMS bus colours confirmed in that period as you state tc. My husband sometimes used an EYMS bus to take him from Marfleet to the city centre. Yardley Tiger also used it when he lived at Paull in the late 40's/early 50's.

They have had quite a few different colours in their time but they were yellow and black in the 1950s and 60s. Of course black and Amber would have been even better.

The original colours of EYMS busses were officially ' indigo and primrose', only a couple were painted black, as detailed in Barca's link.

It says they painted two in different colour schemes in 1950 and neither were popular so they painted them black. They must then have decided to adopt that scheme as I remember black and yellow buses in Brid in the 1950s and 1960s. As like this one which was way after 1950.

So, what colour were they? I have posted 2 photos of buses painted black way after 1950.

You've posted one picture and it's quite clearly dark blue (the original indigo/primrose).
