A lot of the Scottish clubs are semi-pro anyway, so could just operate in a semi-pro league north of the border. There's about 20 clubs that would need to be accommodated. I'm sure if you offered Rangers and Celtic the chance to start in League Two, they would take your hands off. Rangers have already had to climb their way back up. The rest would start further down. This year wouldn't be a bad year to do it, as there's clubs like Dover who haven't been able to fulfill their fixtures and have gone out of business.
Well, Scotland is a prime example of where an NFL type draft system from the leagues below would be a real benefit for Scottish football. It would mean the Old Firm wouldn’t be able to sign up the best young Scottish talent as a matter of course.
Much like what is happening South of the Border. Sides like Chelsea and Man City with 40 young kids they've hoovered up from other clubs, going out on loan, playing one game before being sold to the highest bidder.
You would need to offer those semi-pro clubs a route into the league though. Semi-pro clubs in England can, technically speaking, make their way in to the league so denying that to Scottish clubs would be unfair. You could probably achieve this by expanding the existing English pyramid but how you go about that is fraught with difficulties. The Scottish football ecosystem (for want of a better word) is very different to England. You would have famous old clubs like Queen's Park on a similar footing to clubs that no one has ever heard of, like Wingate and Finchley. That kind of denigration of their status, or the status of any club, is surely what any opposition to the ESL is all about. This whole ESL thing has the potential to have a whole range of unwanted knock-on effects.
I assume this super league will need referees and assistants - could all the national FAs just deny their officials to take part therefore no games could take place?

I take your point. There are financial considerations to be made, like the traveling distance for these Scottish clubs, and then attendances taken into account. I don't suppose a club in the lower reaches of Scottish League Two will be used to much bigger attendances than the likes of South Shields or Spennymoor. As you say, slotting them into Leagues of similar stature would need to be carefully worked out, and paths to the National League and above would need to be made available to all and that won't be easy. Then there's the Alasdair's and Farquahar's in the corridors of power at the SFA to overcome. As it stands, this is all pie in the sky, but if the 6 do leave, it would be a perfect time for restructuring.
It may be that some current England Players with the 6 clubs might turn their back on them. The champagne Charlies will probably go along with it, but it wouldn't surprise me if some, like Jordan Henderson or Marcus Rashford, for example, walked away from it.
I'd love it if Kane went to Palace, Rashford to Burnley, Sterling to Everton etc. I bet nee ****er would take Harry Maguire though.
I am pretty sure it takes 14 clubs in the prem to vote through a change to the competition. Maybe they can start voting through proposals that would adversely affect these 6 clubs. For example if you play dont play a champions league or europa match on a tuesday / wednesday you will get a league game on a Friday. Or maybe massive points deduction for fielding weakened teams ahead of super league games. Maybe impose a salary cap on players in the premier league. I am just being petty now.

Certainly would be an excellent chance to restructure. That might be good for the game in the long term. Having thought about it a bit more than I had earlier though, I think the ramifications of the ESL are potentially much greater and much more disruptive to the fundamentals of English (and wider British) football than everyone just moving up a place or six. Which could be good or could be bad.
