If this all goes through (which I don’t believe it will) they won’t be in a position to be too choosy in my opinion! Think it’s all a moot point anyways, the ESL won’t happen and the takeover will. Even if the ESL does happen, this could be a great thing for football in general and our takeover will still go through anyways...win win!
It's not about the prem being choosy if it goes through. It's the entire business plan that PIF had no longer being viable that's the issue. It's a fundamental reason the big 6 want to secure European money. If it doesn't happen then of course we're back in with a shout via arbitration or an agreement.
I agree. Sometimes the rich make huge mistakes. And this one is one. Everyone connected to football is against this apart from the owners. The USP of the PL is the competitive nature of it. Damn the nature of the ECL is the same. These clubs need brought down. I feel a godlike tilt coming. Our takeover will still go through and this IS the perforce opportunity for PIF to do this properly and do it RIGHT! They play their cards right and we become a solid team.
Imagine if the Liverpool and Leeds players took the knee. And then walked off the pitch and refused to play. Imagine the statement that would send.
I think your wrong on this one. In times like this the majority stick together. I think this is the change that football needed one way or another.

The majority sticking together is great I love it, but all I'm saying is that the if the super league goes ahead and the big 6 stay in the league (the plan) that the opportunity for investment in clubs via takeovers is no longer... That's actually widely considered the truth
we are still attractive without the top 6. We would have a genuine chance of competing for the title. the Saudis are big on status. don’t forget as well a lot of this is about regional investment too. That aim won’t go away. Tv rights money will be less.. but so will wages.
the PL will still be the most lucrative national league in Europe. It will still be ahead of Germany.
The EFL Cup Final should be cancelled on Sunday. Neither club hould be given the opportunity to win a trophy.

Agreed. And I think there will be a hunger and a togetherness to make sure it stays that way. There’s opportunity in this. There really is.
