Yeah. No-one has yet explained to him that the whole venture fits perfectly with his world view. As soon as they find some crayons and a bit of paper they'll set him straight.
On the Stetford End at Old Trafford, they've got a banner that reads "football is nothing without fans" #irony I think all six clubs should receive punishment regardless of whether this goes ahead or not. They've signed an agreement, they deserve to have the book thrown at them.
No law against signing stuff. its a naked power grab so any punishment tried on will only end up in court. the time now is for cool heads and serious negotiation. the authorities have allowed and got into bed with these owners so they reap what they sew.
I'm not sure I agree with punishing the clubs for something that it seems only the owners have signed up to. In 2019 when Klopp was doing his pre match interview and was asked about the, then, breakaway super league he swore and made his feelings about it very clear. I can only guess he feels the same today with this latest news. Why should he, the players and fans (in effect) be punished?
TBH, I thought the same but how else do you get to them? As MITO said, it's not against the rules to sign something, it's very immoral in historic footballing terms.
none of this gets away from the basic numbers rank Team Total revenue 1 Barcelona €715.1m 2 Real Madrid €714.9m 3 Bayern Munich €634.1m 4 Manchester United €580.4m 5 Liverpool €558.6m 6 Manchester City €549.2m 7 Paris Saint-Germain €540.6m 8 Chelsea €469.7m 9 Tottenham €445.7m 10 Juventus €397.9m 11 Arsenal €388m 12 Borussia Dortmund €365.7m 13 Atletico Madrid €331.8m 14 Inter €291.5m 15 Zenit Saint-Petersburg €236.5m 16 Schalke €222.8m 17 Everton €212m 18 Lyon €180.7m 19 Napoli €176.3m 20 Eintracht Frankfurt €174m Interestingly Ac milan are not even on this rich list. you can see where the 3 other clubs will come from then look at the valuations on sports teams https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbes'_list_of_the_most_valuable_sports_teams only city make the top 50 so no wonder ynaks think their assets are undervalued and want to drive the value up. its pure greed.
European Super League clubs would WIN any court case brought by UEFA or FIFA, says legal expert | Daily Mail Online
Yes it is as simple as that though, as the rules of the league specifically state that clubs can’t play in any competition that isn’t authorised by the PL board. Rule L.9 https://resources.premierleague.com...a-4c6bc33368fa/2020-21-PL-Handbook-110920.pdf
Fans simply won’t accept it, you’re completely wrong on that one. I’ve not heard a single voice of a fan in support of this. Note your own club fans have already told the club to remove the fan banners from the Kop for the next home game. If they push on with this, it’ll be an absolute ****storm.
Your lot are never shy at making their feelings known. I’d hope if there’s organised protests we get involved as well.
I think this will end football as our nations favourite game. Sadly I dont think it will end football, as there are millions of xxxxxx out there who loving nothing more than to waste the $3 a year they make in their sweatshops watching "European Soccer" plus all the yanks. And Tobes is right, only complete ****s, and Americans, watch American sports. Ice Hockey gets a pass because its Canadian and cool.
@LFC’s Chief Executive Billy Hogan: “We know that this announcement has provoked strong feelings within the game and elsewhere but we believe this decision is in the best long-term interests of Liverpool Football Club.” “If we want to continue our journey of being a sustainable Club with ambition to grow and continue winning trophies then we should absolutely be part of that process and have a seat at the table rather than outside that group.”
