Big hammering. LFC need goals and confidence. Step forward Steve Bruce.

This is a must win game for us.

If we fail to beat Liverpool then it's mathematically impossible to qualify for Europe!!

Hmm bit of a quandary here and this is were Bruce excels in his management! Seriously though, I looked at the fixtures and Arsenal playing Europa semi 29th, then us on the 1st and they play return leg on the 6th, it's all or nothing for Arsenal so can't see them risking their best players if they are still in it, this is the game we should target and I'd even go as far as not starting ASM and Wilson next week , just a thought.

Play the best team available based on fitness. Drop Shelvey, bring in Willock. Drop Joelinton, bring in Wilson. Liverpool are back on it, so defeat looks likely. Hopefully defeats today for Burnley and Fulham will make it immaterial - we have winnable games vs Arsenal, Fulham and Sheff U so could easily finish on 44 points. I actually think we're already safe.

Yeah you're probably right, I certainly think it'll be all over after the Arsenal game and I don't care what happens after that.

If Fulham beat Arsenal today then it’s not over.

If Arsenal win I think it’s goodbye Fulham. Also means they have lost the last 5.

They would have 5 games to get 3 wins and that’s if we don’t pick up any more.

If rather be us than them.

I actually think West Brom have a better chance.

Agree on the above. With Arsenal you just never know. Fulham could beat them, or we could.

We shouldn't think of Sheff Utd and Fulham as 6 points. Sheff Utd will have no pressure, and Fulham will be fighting for their lives.

We should instead focus on every game being an opportunity for points, and taking that into each game.

4 points more and we're safe regardless of what Fulham or West Brom do.

Neither Fulham or Baggies will win every game so I reckon one win for us and we are safe.

Fulham play Chelsea and then Burnley after today, so think if they lose today it's going to be a tough road back for them.

Burnley play Man Utd today so will likely still need another win when they play Fulham

We should pull out of this game on humanitarian grounds. If Liverpool are so scared of teams like us relegating them that they have to join a league with no relegation then we should just pull out and let them have the points. **** em. It's not football anymore.

That’s OK. If you don’t qualify for Europe these days you can just declare you are breaking away into your own better European competition.

We could create our own, then not invite anyone else. Champions of Europe every year - how about that?

Mate, if this club is still impacting your emotions, you need more muesli.

Ashley killed my nerve-endings years ago! This is just whether I continue with NUFC or go 100% local club.

I enjoy the sport and I still had hope.

This is far more sinister than anything Ashley's ever done

Oh, for sure. I mean, it's in effect a new sport using old materials.

The FA's need to be stronger than they've ever been - but given UEFA have already announced their stupid UCL changes, I think the FA's will stay as cowardly and just bow down to money.

The premier league is full of ****.. It will say its bothered, but they're essentially just the big 6 anyway and have been for over a decade.

Not one club will leave the premier league and they don't give a **** of the grounds outside the big 6 aren't as full because they'll still get money
