    This gem from @Spurlock

But replaced with “Everton” where necessary.

I think that expectations are possibly at the lowest for about 10 years - I am expecting the same team as last week and probably a similar performance, they are in equally poor form and have been fairly awful at home all season.

Add in the madness of the high scoring cup tie and a goalless draw in the seasons most turgid and dull match is rapidly becoming what I am foreseeing! Think the forum will be more animated during the match than the team will.

Lot of comparisons between us and Everton. Two teams who promised something earlier in the season, neither of us were really going to win the league but barring a miracle, both us and them look like missing out comfortably on top 4 and will be ultimately disappointed with the season. Us more so as we’ve gone backwards whereas Everton are still looking to break into the top 4.

Like bale, James hasn’t really worked and they rely on their sole striker to really get their goals with support from richarlison where as we have son.

    Draw on the cards.

Flip side - we can no longer get disappointed when all we expect is failure.

    “Most likely lose again, anyway.”

...like Alfie, I've seen plenty of crap managers and terrible football, but not when we've had so many talented players. This really is a pile of crap.

I wouldn’t go that far, lol.

Though I can’t forgive Jose for how he’s ruined the Bale return. He’s deprived Spurs fans of a dream Bale-Kane-Son frontline for most of the season. We’d be far better off had he played Bale more often and just gone all out attack instead of pussying out with this defensive nonsense with a side that can’t defend.

You should have been around for the relegation season....also most of the 90's. We were crap for good reason...Now, we've got 2 world class players, a top keeper and players with talent....not a bunch of carthorses. Mourinho's wasted nearly all of them.

I’d say one world class player. Top keeper is pushing it a bit too, Lloris does a job but he’s not a top keeper anymore. Players with talent, yes, but we’ve arguably a lot more dross than talent.

Jose’s overly persisted with the dross though and not focused enough on the talent. If he went more “gung ho” he’d likely have more points on the board than his current reserved bollocks.

He's been **** recently. No idea what he's done to justify a start.

Everton look a lot more balanced than they were against Brighton. I expect that the midfield doesn't line up like that, though.

More like nine at the back!

Definitely a trial line up for the cup final when we'll probably play 11 defenders.

At some point people might have to consider that Winks isn't being kept out of the team for tactical reasons...

Erm…... Say what you will, but 5 at the back is the formation that Poch used when we first started flying with Rose and Walker as wing backs.

It's not the worst way of starting until the defence is solid enough to do different.

I ain't mad at the line up. What will P me off royally, is if there is no attacking intent, and we don't press.

What line-up wouldn't annoy you right now?
