We need a strong man to manage, he is already in the building SL would be mad not to sign him up on a contract. JL is SL's day to day contact and man inside with the board, management and playing staff, like he said, he is still the owner, funder and final decision maker. All we need now is a decision about the manager, last time we had one we were Champions of League 1, promoted and won the Tin Pot Cup.
I can't see how Nigel Pearson (or ANY manager tbh) could be expected to deliver to his best, with his players being selected FOR him by another Chief Operating officer. I would expect NP to have his own preferred colleagues to work with and shape his team. Behind every successful manager there are unsung heroes (Peter Green for example). The operative word being BEHIND - not lording over, like Ashton was over LJ and DH.
