TUPE is a means to transfer employees between employments to maintain the same rights and employment history. Effectively just like a change of employer but everything the same. So without TUPE it means just rumple redundancy.
It depends on who is the employer. But the likelihood is that the changes to which heed refers to is in connection with the transfer to new owners. What I don’t understand is why it would be required. For all intense and purposes the current companies would remind. With contracts of employment not being affected. The holding company just buys the shares in nufc and its associated companies. They still remain post a takeover.
Just asking as I know someone that doesn't work for the club shop as such and they haven't got any papers to say anything is happening
Seems like a very odd thing to put in the hands of shop staff? We’re going to stat utterly silent on the takeover, but tell Billy in the storeroom that there’s new owners?
I’m sure there has to be 3 months notice given on redundancies. May not be linked to the club takeover proposal mind.
The stores are owned by House of Fraser Group, not NUFC. The staff are to be made redundant by HoF, with the consultation period now having commenced. The stores will be refurbished, to be reopened by new owners.
