Might as well give Sky a temporary ban then, you know what he's like...Wouldn't trust the guy in a church let alone with a bunch of convicts.
You're right Rus - leading leg. But studs first, and in the air, is reckless. He wins the ball - no doubt. But see what happens if you go studs in the air...he lifts his leg AFTER contact with the ball (intentional or not) and the studs then make contact with Suarez. Sliding with studs can go horribly wrong - that's why the law's in place - to avoid the wrongs/accidents happening. Whether the ball's won or not - it's a risk. So, gunna try and reel this in to a coherent point again. I say, yellow card. That did look kinda painful - only in a "blimmin eck that stings and then up again in three mins" typa way - which is exactly what Suarez did. No phantom card-brandishing, no nothing. To blame the victim's absurd. I will not defend any players choice to "roll around" as you put it...but I will defend a players right to be HURT. In this case...gawdblesshim - it's my player. I reckon this "universal" (read; HATERS) premature branding of the man as play-acter will quickly be exposed and Kenny/Stevie will stamp this out of his game - for the sake of the team. liability for any team right? The guy's being judged way to harshly way too quickly. Just as Nani before him - and he's done a sterling job of cleaning it up. So...don't fall in the dimwit ways of ya friend UIR here...Don't fall into that trap Rus. You're better than that. Evidently. Suarez's a fine player. Enjoy what he does. Not what that haters want you to focus on. Rant over. Rodwell challenge - a silly one. Not a red card. Suarez not to blame for anything! (And this saturday he'll score once and set up one too). 3-1.
And just to add...I know why he's treated way too harshly way too quickly...cos quite simply he's and AMAZING FOOTBALLER - as we all can see. To the UIR fudwits out there he's the absolute-spawn-of-satan-scum-of-the-earth...(the hypocrisy regarding the WC handball is hilarious btw, coming from Englishmen who still believe Hurst's was over the line etc)... ...so it's plain to see. The hatred of the small-minded haters only mirrors the talent - which brings me back to my original point about five pages back. Y'all sound pretty worried. Every right. He's not the type of player to be "found out" in his second season. The boy plays with unbridled belief and an unpredictability that CAN rip any defence apart - on his day. Ok. Done. Can't wait for saturday. Which I'm not used to against you orrible lot. Which makes me nervous again. Heh. The joys. Ok done.
Ha Ha, do you just refer to everyone as me to save you trawling through to see who said what? I agree on it not being a red and that Suarez had no effect on the ref, he'd already made up his mind he was going to steal the show with a red card. I always love a ref who thinks the crowd has paid to watch him, don't you? It's a bit ironic you mention Nani mind, as last season when Carragher should quite clearly have been sent off and wasn't, I vividy recall ALL Liverpool fans on 606 saying he shouldn't have been. The point being, one man's red is another man's no foul or yellow and it depends entirely on who you support. We'll NEVER reach an agreement.
No. I'm responding directly to your last post with the video Rus - before it descended into a non-footballing topic. That's the thing about me...when it derails I like to try to bring back to an interesting footballing discussion - rather than playground name-calling like ya cohorts earlier....call me old-fashioned. But think we should move on now anyway. I've looked at the video. PS - 'Course Carra should've been sent off!! I don't reckon it was intentional tho. Very clumsy. Seem to remember that being the bone of contention last time. We would've played you off the park regardless. We DID. Hoping for a repeat. Thanking-you.
(I was too busy laughing at Nani to remember the replays at the time! Tears streaming down both our faces). hehheh. All good.
Is it very poor tho Hammer? Are footballers are only judged on getting the final touch before it hitting the back of the net? Don't think so. More interested in whether he'll start and have the same influence us Reds are accustomed to. Bit nervy about that too. Hope he'll be the same Stevie. Best all round midfielder the Prem's ever seen - and English. Bonus. We should all be proud of him.
yoh cats! off to that the Landurn Village for a couple of days now, off to see the the other 74,999 United fans well don't kill each other till I'm back, .... i want to watch! Chops you can kill the "usual Suspect" if you so wish, like some annoying fly! Allez la Rouge! - that's the one's from Trafford.
