If Wyke is playing poor now change it. Stick AOB & Stewart in. Two more mobile guys and hopefully click together where it matters. It also gives Charlie a rest.
Hard one to take today for me. We have played much better teams this season and won. They didn't do anything that we didn't expect either Basic tactics lumping it and pressing using their big players with a bit of a new manager bounce thrown in. and they weren't a great team but to be fair to them they had a plan and did it well Our first half shape played right into their hands. It didn't suit some of the players Gooch, McGeady, AOB, McFadzean looked poor all seemed very isolated little link up play. But even then we created chances. just feel if we had made changes earlier we could have won well. I like LJ's flexibility but if I could have anything I'd love a settled defence and midfield that can disrupt the opposition and control games. something to build a team around Give the likes of McGeady time to play and space his game
Those two goals that Pboro and Hull got last week against Crewe and Fleetwood now look huge. We were second for 4 minutes
Burge was shocking for the first goal. As good as he has been he always has a monumental **** up in his armour
Today wasnt a great showing, pretty poor actually across the park. However, the season is far from over. In an attempt to find a silver lining I think unbeaten runs can become a bit of a millstone. Sometimes you see teams focus on not losing to keep it going. Maybe the squad will now have a bit less pressure.
It ain't over though. Win all our games and we overtake Hull. That's a fact by the way and as for not hitting 2nd all season I'll take doing it in the 90th minute of the 46th game.
We’ve had a good run over the last few weeks. Performances of late haven’t been what we have ideally wanted but we managed to get some good results. We’ve also had a lot of other results that have gone our way in recent weeks which has helped put us in the position we are. Today didn’t go our way and the other results went against us. Still a lot of twists and turns left before the end of the season but this has inevitably added more pressure on us to win against Hull
