Without doubt, think he's exactly what's needed. Him and Chester should be our future

 

He's worth what anyone will pay!
However I would expect to be able to get him for less. Depends how much they want Olifinjana I reckon

 

Gerrard is quality in this division and will be watched closely by other clubs. £1.5 million is money well spent. He's getting better each game and would be ideal as captain

I get the feeling Ant doen't want to stay here. Going by what he says in his interviews and on his Twitter I think he would rather be playing 1st team football in Cardiff.

Gerrard wouldn't be out of place in the PL should Cardiff go up.. I think if they don't then we'll have a chance and even more so if we win at Wembley..

 

more importantly, do we have that kind of money to pay in transfer fees for a defender and how far would our self imposed salary cap restrict an approach?

 

did this post start as a result of what was said to me today at the match. all i was told is that cardiff value him at £1.5 million. This regardless of any Olifinjana involvement or any recipricol arrangement that may be discussed. Bearing in mind the albatross that olifinjana carries around his neck in his salary, i guess we would probably value him at £0 if they take the albatross with them!

It might be just hearsay but if the clubs sat down then Oli for Gerrard PLUS cash would still be a good deal for City.. Oli is on £17,000 a week if my memory serves me right..

I wouldn't pay. Gerrard does a good professional job, but isnt exemplary.
Let's see if he can keep up his good form until the end of the season. And then we can weigh up our options.

 

if cardiff go up you can understand him wanting to be a premier player. as to the question i dont have £1.5m or even £1.5 so i couldnt buy him.
