Based on the way he said it, rather than what he said, I took it as meaning Hume might start tomorrow. But I'd expect bench again.
if he does I hope its the McFadzean from the last month, who was decent, rather than the one from Monday.
Johnson picks the team and McFadzean does his best. Hume has had some poor games, and been muscled off the ball too often ... ... whatever the case this squad is all we have so I'll cheer anything that takes the pitch.
I’m going for the win. We have a better squad, well drilled, and we should win most of our games. Their three wins in the last five have been against out of form teams. We should have too much for them.
Well done Charlton, very poor from SAFC in comparison - maybe we should buy out TV Pass from the opposition this time around? 2-1 to Sunderland.
The longer one of our players is out injured, the higher he gets regarded by some of our fans. When Watmore was out he was as good as KDB.
Hume was one of our best players in the dark times before Johnson, going off what effect he's had on some of our weaker players I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do with a raw but real talent like Hume.
At least we don’t have the curse of Manager of the month (or player of the month for that matter) as we didn’t get either of them. I wonder if my theory about teams getting poor results after playing us will happen to Peterborough. Other teams put a lot of work in when playing us and are below par for a few of the games that follow. Maybe Hull will have a bad patch after playing us.
Why is it poor? I buy the game to watch it. Not to get entered into a prize draw. Maybe they need this! Surely they also realise that the streaming money goes to the away club’s coffers?
When Charlton have gone to the trouble of doing the prize draw it just seems poor that we have done nothing. If they are supposed to be working to get a record number of streams then you'd think they would be working together, or at least offering some incentive to SAFC fans or a local charity. Yet SAFC appear to be doing nothing.
I'd say he's veered between ****e and ok, more often the former unfortunately. Been ok lately though. Hume on the other hand often has a great game, now it's been pointed out to Wyke that it's easier to win headers if you stand in front of the defender not behind them we should get some joy from his crosses. He used to put loads in, often quality ones, but Wyke, Grigg and Graham never got anywhere near them.
Can't remember anyone saying he was as good as KDB like. And tbf to Watmore, he is performing well in the Championship at the minute. Deffo not KDB but certainly better than a dog with a balloon.
Charlton's form has been okay of late, but nothing to write home about. Both sides have had 3 wins and two draws in their last five games, but their draws were with Wimbledon and Shrewsbury, while our draws were against Lincoln and Peterborough, much higher standard of opposition. Rescued a good point on Monday and confidence will be sky high after that. We will win tomorrow. 3-1 to the Lads and on to a revenge mission at Wigan. Fully expect us to be in the top two before our game next weekend.
