    -----------------Krul---------------
    O'Shea --- Saylor --- Colo --- Santon
    Sess --- Cabaye --- Tiote --- Jonas
    -----------------HBA---------------
    -----------------Ba----------------

No matter how much I try to unbias myself, I just can't see the combined best starting 11 being any different than that. I mean really, which Sunderland players would replace any of the NUFC players there?

The only one I'm unsure about is Jonas or Larsson, or putting Larsson on the left and Sessegnon on the right. I don't think there's much at all between Jonas and Larsson atm though. They both have their own quality attributes.

IMO that's about right but I would swap Brown for O'Shea.

Can brown play RB? If he can then yeah I would too.

Also, there may be some disagreement about Santon and Bardsley, but tbh, considering the defensive abilities we've had so far (i.e. best in the league), I just could not fairly put Bardsley ahead of Ryan Taylor, so I'd rather compare Santon who is looking pretty class in international and reserve games.

  5. Oshea has been average at best and missed games. He's not proven himself better than Simmo or Raylor so far this season.

Sessegnon the only player i'd take from their team if we were to make our two teams into one. And maybe Bardsley.

That's not biased, that's ****ing realistic.

Krul is 10x the keeper mignolet is.

Saylor and Colo are both superior to any CB they have, Wes Brown is not the CB he used to be. He's not been bad, but just not as good as our two.

Our fullbacks haven't been amazing, but they've been good enough to be part of a defense that's kept the best defensive record in the league.

Our CM's are miles better. Larsson can whip in a good cross, but apart from that what qualities does he have? He's not much better than Raylor, and he should have been suspended up until a game ago for being a cheating ****.

If anyone should replace Simmo, it would be Bardsley. Bardsley I'd say is probably better than Simmo, but he's a dirty little ****.

Was going to do my own but it's identical to yours <laugh>

    Krul
    O'Shea Taylor Colo Santon
    Cabaye Tiote
    Sess Benny Jonas
    Ba

Then again, it's one of those where the mackems would put a SAFC majority in.

It's their wingers really, which also happens to be some of our weakest positions compared to the quality at CB and CM. Obertan, for example, could easily be replaced with Sessegnon who is a far superior winger. There's also the Jonas and Larsson debate, but whilst Jonas is one of our key players, Larsson can put in more crosses which are more accurate, so it's a tricky one indeed.

It's worth noting that that starting 11 would be really ****ing good. There would be two good quality fullbacks and Obertan would be replaced with a class winger.

  10. Larsson lacks pace and skill though.

And I'm sure Marveuax will prove to be quite a hit once Pardew decides to play him ahead of Obertan.

Jonas can't cross as good as Larsson, but I'd say more defenses would **** themselves with Jonas running at them, then Larsson with his crosses.

So far Larsson has gotten 2 goals and an assist.

Jonas has scored a goal, he won the free kick that lead to our goal at the SoS because he was too skillful for their defenders and they had to bring him down, and he also won the corner that lead to our goal at Wolves.

He may not be consistent with his deliveries, but he's still very effective.

Neither Santon or ben arfa have started a game this season, you can hardly put them in the north east 11

  14. I'd start HBA anyway, Santon I'm not so sure.

HBA has proven himself in the CL, and has looked deadly every time he's played for us. I've got faith in him.

But at the same time, you couldn't exclude them from a best North East 11 just because they haven't played, otherwise it could essentially be wrong.

I know how good Ben Arfa is, and I know how good Santon can be. We've also seen him play well in reserve and international games and can be confident that he hasn't lost his form. It's probably why so very many people want him to start against Spurs.

Sessegnon doesn't seem to be too great 'in the hole' or as a striker, but his natural position is as a winger and he's looked really good when he's played there.

i hear a lot of people saying this but a while back someone did a comparisson of our squads and we had 2 or 3 more players than them and if anything our back up is much better quality than theirs they couldnt dream of bringing on the likes of benny and marv from the bench
