We live in a society where someone is always to blame. And where there’s blame, there’s money.

    So they’re protecting their pockets

This is relevant to the story that the EFL wanted and proposed full stadiums next year.

Which is great, everyone want that. But there might have to be vaccine 'passports' for everyone wanting go go.

Why is that? Everyone deemed at risk and vulnerable has had at least one jab, and will definitely have had their second by then. They will probably have their booster lined up by autumn as well.

So, why does everyone have to be vaccinated to attend a football match? My kids are season ticket holders. One will be 12, the other 15 next season. They don't need to be vaccinated and I'm not having them vaccinated, not until a genuine timescale of due diligence, testing and follow up to those who've been vaccinated is actually done.

What I want to know would be; who are they protecting in being vaccinated? It's a question no one can properly answer at the moment as it makes no sense whatsoever.

My kids don't have and aren't offered a Flu jab either, which is a more basic way of making the same point I suppose.

That being, they don't need one and not having one has no effect whatsoever on anyone else.

When I left school in 1977, smoking was practically compulsory in all workplaces. Though my first job was at British American Tobacco, come to think of it.

Anyway, we were better people for being a nation of chain smoking alcoholics.

tbf to aberdude (maybe not in his instance i don't know how old he is), whats the mortality rate in the under 30s and thats when you take into consideration a lot of the under 30s might be asymptomatic and didnt know they had covid which means that the mortality rate will be lower due to this

i believe the scientific reasoning is that if you don't have the vaccine, you could catch Covid. The more people who keep catching covid, the more likely it is to mutate so that the current vaccines that have been used might not work on these new variants.

So like every other virus? I understand but can’t see the logic behind it. Initially it was to save the nhs, now why? Even if the variant mutates, the vaccine is some form of protection to that new strain.

We could be in rinse repeat every year with the current action to Covid.

The vaccine does not make people immune from covid, it reduces the risk greatly but not to the stage of complete immunity. Also a lot of people have only had the first dose. Some people for one reason or another cannot have the vaccine. Then there is a differential uptake within ethnic minority groups which will further exacerbate their pre-existing health inequalities and increase further marginalisation of them. The younger generation are also at risk from the virus and have not been vaccinated, because they didn't come within the first nine groups. There are people making choices not to have the vaccine, so again it leaves them at risk.

I'm alright Jack so fook the rest of you! <whistle>

It doesn’t **** me off, I couldn’t care less whether you choose to have a jab or not, I was merely pointing out that your logic in terms of the odds you were stating was fundamentally flawed.

Your snide posts about clots aimed at those on here who’ve had the AZ jab suggests that you’re trying to make out your choice is somehow superior to the ‘sheeple’, did **** me off though. So in terms of live and let live, try practising what you preach.
