Greater Ardoyne Residents' Collective have been made aware of plans by loyalists to gather at Twaddell/Woodvale and Glenbryn in coming nights, in an attempt to draw Ardoyne residents into confrontation.

There are also rumoured plans to block off the bottom of Ligoniel Road tomorrow night at 5pm in order to effectively seal off and isolate the area.

Should this occur GARC would encourage all residents to remain extremely vigilant. Parents should be aware of where their children are at all times and encourage them to stay away from flashpoint areas.

As always, residents retain the right to defend their homes from attack and GARC fully supports this course of defensive action should it be necessary.
