It's not enjoyment, far from it, but to all those that thought LJ was so rubbish and we would be so much better with him gone were as wrong then as they are now, and they deserve to have it rammed down their throats on here, as they did to all of us who were not bigoted and supported LJ! For the record, I'd have him back tomorrow!

Back with this same squad that most normal people accept is incredibly inconsistent?

Your anger should be directed at the men who sacked him and the mysterious dysfunctional transfer system that assembled this dysfunctional squad, not the fans who luckily for him and Holden were not even in the ground to show their disatisfaction.

The football under LJ was like watching paint dry-boring on the eye.

I'm not getting enjoyment at all.....I'm just real..some on here aren't.....
First of all, I never called for LJ to be sacked.....yes I acknowledge that results were not good enough.....but we were not fighting relegation and I did not see anyone out there that was available whom would want to come here and that would spread miracle dust to make us that much better.......
You can go on and on regarding the squad, but in some games, some have shown that they are capable and most of us agreed that we needed a few quality players in certain positions and a leader on the pitch to make it work.......SL bowed down to the pressure of fans, some never wanting him here from the start (lack of vitamin D or common sense IMO):emoticon-0103-cool: and opted to change the manager instead.....like others expecting instant success...as we know in life, nothing is guaranteed..
Not wanting to gamble on the clubs ethics, SL appointed Deano.......As RP likes to call it, results were a dead cat bounce effect which Deano was not experienced enough to maintain..in fact bad enough that relegation was a possibility...............now we are in panic mode.......appointment of NP....would not have been my choice but he talks a good game and there seemed a glimmer of hope........he stopped the rot (or the players did) from the dangers of relegation.....but I honestly thought he would get a bit more than he has out of these players.....even a few draws from some of these defeats would have gone down better, tightening up the defence has to be a priority........not seeing it..IMO
Once SL made his decision to part company with LJ, nothing would have made me happier for the new appointment to progress us on.......
Did I see enough of Deano to say we would progress......no.................. I wanted to
Have I seen anything from NP to say the same......as yet....no.............but I want to
It's gonna be gamble time from SL......to give NP the full reigns, with a decent size contract, an open cheque book and even a change to the clubs setup.....he will have to believe, NP is that good....................I'm not so sure....
At the end of the day, we all have one thing in common and that is to see our club competing in the premiership and we are trusting that SL knows how to get there..

No chance, sweet shop Johnson spent it all.
    And left an appalling legacy.
Kalas and maybe Bentley is all we have to show for 4 wasted years with an open cheque book.

Oh, I thought the books showed that he made as much as he spent.....maybe i'm wrong, but I thought the players transfer column showed a profit..:emoticon-0105-wink:
His dead cat bounce up north seems to be still purring. New sweet shop for him next season me thinks!! :emoticon-0103-cool:

What pressure from fans? there were none in the grounds, LJ would have gone sooner had there been.

In 'some games' is just not good enough, their inconsistency cost LJ and Holden their jobs not the fans and if not addressed this squad might not succeed this season but next season there is no doubt in my mind they take us even closer to relegation.

He won't need an open cheque book, 14 players are out of contract 4 of them started yesterdays game and 2 more were on the bench, there are big earners amongst the 14, Baker (alleged to be in the top 4 earners at the club), Diedhiou, Paterson, Hunt, Lansbury, Mariappa and Watkins, we have a lot of good kids are coming through, clubs in far worse financial situations than us will be looking to unload high earners and there are record numbers of players out of contract, but the ground work needs to be done now not at the end of the season plus 6 weeks like last year, SL has to act now, season tickets sales will inevitably go down because of covid + unemployment etc. but it will go down lower if he stays in his bunker and doesn't bring clarity to a situation that was royally ****ed up at the end of last season.

He had a good starting point, 1 point outside the play off places and only 7 off of top spot.

4-1 for promotion was giving you money.
And then extra for the double.
    Happy Days <cheers>

I hope they do get promoted, I am still in touch with ex city player Robbie Turner, who is a huge Sunderland fan.

But he had a good starting point, even Holden might have succeeded.

You do realise with this squad, you of all people, who none stop moan about how useless they all are, predicted that we would finish 8th with 70 points in Wiz's Fury or Glory comp...............you alone had the most expectations from this group of players with NP on board to climb the table......
    You are funny Jiffie...........not real.....but funny <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Because I am a fan, I based it on the teams we had left to play and the fact that some people still claim we had a decent squad.

I have no agenda unlike some I support whoever is in charge even if they are not my choice and that included Pulis, Millen, LJ and Holden. I support them right up until they obviously have lost their players, which is what usually happens, it's almost always the players that get managers sacked.

As I say I support whoever is in charge, you clearly do not, you seem to have made up your mind and you are far more interested in being right than the way the club is being run.

I maybe funny in your eyes, what does that make you?
