    Hi Guys

Bristol City fan in peace here... Theres a lot of talk on and debates on our board about who people want as their new manager and a lot of city fans seem to want Zola for some reason. He is my all time favourite player, but as a manager I am totally unconvinced by him.

What are your opinions of him?

A lot of city fans seem to think he will bring attractive pass and move, keep it on the ground football to Ashton Gate, and I just don't see it, but could be wrong. I was always under the impression that is how he started out with you guys, but when it didn't go according to plan, it was hoofball up to Carlton Cole, but again, I could be wrong about that.

So what was your opinion and what kind of football did he bring to you guys?

Cheers, won't wish you luck for this season, because I think you will be sat top of the table and win this league with ease so you don't need luck. West Ham are a team that should and will be in the Prem!

Zola is a great coach, esp one to one training like he did with Carlton Cole, but imo,he's no manager.

Gianfranco was a God on the playing field, and like all people given the natural gifts that he was they would never translate into being a great manager! There are few managers I can think of that were good at both . Bobby Robson was one, Carlo Ancelotti possibly another...but then it gets harder.

Far too nice to be a good manager, far too great a coach to be overlooked.

echo what most have said, brilliant coach, but lacks managerial nous AT THE MOMENT. I think he got the Hammers job to early, and he wasn't helped by things going on in the background. He got some of the players (most noticably Cole) playing really well, but he seemed a bit clueless when things weren't going right, and didn't know how to change a game. I personally think that he'd have made an excellent foil to Curbishley. Needs more experience as a number 2 to a good manager.

Well you need to get on the Spud thread about the OS Bid collapsing then!

Cockney Eyetie came in, wound one of them up, left and now I am defending the cause on my own!

I've got some muppet listing league points since the biggining of time blah, blah, blah

Oh and for some reason WHU made up the rivalry with Spurs.

The thing is IZWT, I don't go on there for a wind-up as they are so boring, but that Ghoddle chav starts getting a semi because of my tongue-in-cheek signature and we 'dared' to post on their board about a topic that involves our club <doh>

Spurf is one of very few decent spuds, but i just can't be arsed with them.
I have more fun and laughs on the Millwank board, at least they have humour.
