Definetly a boost! Always scores against us

Think they would probably bring Lennon in and put Van Der Vaart behind Defoe if he was out

  3. Agreed.

We've already handled probably the 2nd best winger in the league in Gervinho, we can take on Lennon or Bale. Modric and VDV are the ones i reckon could do is serious damage though.

Great news, I fear Collo would have struggled against his strength.

I'd put Young, Nani and Bale well ahead of Gervinho - and probably several others if I thought about it.

  6. Saylor against Adebayor, Colo vs Defoe <ok>

Saylor isn't as strong as Adebayor, but Adebayor isn't strong enough, IMO, to dominate Saylor or out muscle him.

Why do we have 2 articles on the same topic <doh>.

  8. Nani yeah, Young is in my opinion the best winger in the league, Bale however no.

I think Gervniho is better because his finishing ability and dribbling abilities are better. I'm pretty sure they're evenly matched pace wise. Bale is probably the best at creating things.

I just think Gervinho is better, he'd be able to do us more damage than Bale IMO. Gervinho is more likely to score goals.

You can't guarantee that they will always match up against each other though. Even if just once Adebayor got on Collo, it could have been disaster. Glad he's out, Tiote can handle VDV's threat, and Cabaye can handle Modric. I worry about Raylor against Bale/Lennon though, possibly Santon may start as he is so good against top wingers (kept Ronaldo out of the game when they played.)

    Was wondering the same thing.

  11. Simpson would have learned about the last time he faced Lennon.

They'll test us, but i don't think we should doubt ourselves too much. We've almost beaten them with a weaker team before.

Colo isn't weak, he's just not as strong the biguns. It doesn't mean he'll crumble at the first challenge of Adebayor. Colo, remember, has sharpness and trickery at this advantage.

I'm not saying Colo would crumble, I'm just saying that it only takes one aerial win from Adebayor for them to score.

Agree with the rest though <ok>

  13. Agreed, but we can't let that worry too much. Imagine what you're gonna be like vs Stoke rofl. But then again i can't say anything.

I **** myself every time we're against Stoke.

We out play them every time and lose because we fail to take chances, and they score their ****ty goals from set plays.

We need to score at least 4 against Stoke for me to be comfortable.

I've just put a bet on with a friend who is a Stoke fan that if they win, I'll wear a Tony Pulis mask for a day at school. If we win, she'll wear a Pardew mask for the day. I'll be ****ting myself.

  15. What if you draw?

I could see it being a draw tbh.

Then we get to wear our respective managers mask.

You should have worded it differently. "If Stoke win I'll wear a Pulis mask, if we win you don't need to wear anything".

Hopefully Bale will get a freak injury also because he will rape Simpson

Got to say, Bale is one hell of a player! Thought he was bit over hyped last season, but after seeing him a few times this season he has impressed me a lot. He is so feckin quick and direct. Would scare any fullback

I really hope Santon starts (although I doubt he will). Raylor is not good enough to handle either Lennon or Bale, against QPR he was destroyed by SWP and against Arsenal Gervinho got past him and cut insides all the time, if he finished better or his final pass was better then we would of lost. Although Raylor has done a good enough job I do feel we are playing a dangerous game keeping him in just waiting until we lose, especially seeing as we have got Santon fit and ready.
