You know I have you on Rix, so you've resorted to name-calling.

Would that be Steven Gerrards 16 year old sister in law. Steven Gerrard sister in law is like a Spurs title win since 1962..He hasn't got one, theres a reason for that his wife doesn't have a sister. Or would it be Ronnie Whelans seriously ill daughter whom he has done charity walks for? Don't believe everything you read on twitter.
Rix is a sex offender, he was convicted and sent to prison and was on the sex offenders list for 10 years, therefore a peadophile and he's an ex Arsenal player and he's a Chelsea coach.

This thread is getting pathetic now. It should not have become a "my club is bigger than your club" thread. It's not about that. The FACT is, regardless of how ****e we've been in recent years, we are the second biggest prem club to be watched in Asia by a long way. They bloody love us there, no idea why, but they do. Trying to deny that is a bit stupid. It's got nothing to do with where we are now in the table or how we are viewed domestically, since this is about FOREIGN TV rights, and the facts speak for themselves.

The reason that the Premier League is so popular around the world, and that the top clubs in this country are in a position to want to sell their own rights, is because the Premier League is more interesting than other leagues in Europe. It's fine to say "Well, Barca and RM do it", but the Spanish league is boring as hell because there's such a huge gap between the top and the bottom clubs of La Liga.

All this would do would be to benefit the (already) strongest clubs at the detriment of not only the small clubs, but the entire league. Eventually we'd end up like the SPL.

Far be it for me to defend an Arsenal fan, but I don't even think that SNIAW and KPR are comparable.
The former is fairly balanced and articulate.
I still believe that the latter is a parody of a Liverpool fan.

First of all threads gne to sheite.

It has happened in europe, it is meant to be unfair. Thats why the new financial rules are being put in place, only the really wealthy and well connected can circumvent these new rules.

If football is to be fair, as mentioned at the start of this thread. Lets have a draft system, lowest team gets first pick. Football is rotten to the core and far too vunerable to scams payoffs and corruption, a person can own 6 prem clubs if he wants if he has the sheer financial mass to hide that fact.

FIFA and UEFA need to be deposed. They are the core of the problem and nothng will change while these organisations run the game.

Example of rotting corruption. Players this WC will be playing in 55 degrees possibly, this all for a country with a national soccer sport = to 0. This is going to pretty much take every player that plays out of their domestic league for a couple of months, players are tired after a normal WC after Qatar, forget it. Fat Frank may be happier though.

Draft system comes in and they can do as they wish with their money it matters not.

Says the lad who thought there was an apostrophe in 'Yours', and spent a whole two pages arguing that you were right about it.

Well well well, this thread seemed to have come along nicely hasn't it?

I read the first couple of pages and I must say I'm shocked at how everyone jumped on LFC like it was their fault. Can you honestly say your clubs have not thought about the possibility? Especially clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd who are globally very popular and could stand to earn millions more. If they had the chance to earn more via TV rights then they'd take it.

It would perhaps segregate the market further, but with big game players such as Man city, Anzhi, PSG etc.. who can afford to throw money everywhere around then it'll always be those clubs who break into that top market. Those with lots of capital to begin with, can begin increasing their global popularity, revenue etc... and hence get increased TV rights. Let's not forget that we're talking about the league splitting into multiple tiers, but with Stoke, Birmingham and Spurs in the Europa league they would stand to get increased TV rights (making the Europe league somewhat more meaningful, as the prize money is pitiful).

Overall, I can see why people would say they don't want it. But on the European stage, England would be in a much better position to challenge Europe's top clubs.

Also something for everyone to mull over; with the amount of power and sway the top clubs have over world football and it's supporters, if they were to begin their own share of money from TV rights, then surely the advertisement of the EPL as a whole would be increased as the top clubs use their Advertisement experts to further their own money gains. Hence, even the bottom clubs would benefit from extra cash generated as a backlash to EPL's growth in popularity. Surely we could see how much the bottom clubs to stand to lose/gain if this were to happen.

Only KPR. You're making yourself sound ignorant by refusing to accept anyone else's point of view.
