Where have I ever said that WHU are (have ever been) bigger/better than Spurs? We just like to wind you up and clearly it works. You should worry about Arsenal they have been slapping you around for decades now, it must be pretty painful. One comment about the WC/England and this is the reaction, how the hell have you dealt with Arsenal or the odd WHU victory over the years?

I blame it on the Lasagne personally <ok>

In my opinion it's not significant, no. 25-30 years out of those 50+ would be significant.

That whole World Cup thing really touches a nerve doesn't it? Perhaps the three that were involved in such a key manner with England couldn't pull the other 8 or so up to their level week in week out? Thing is, I never said the WHU team were "good" even though we won the FA Cup and Cup Winners Cup in that period.

Destined (in your opinion). Perhaps we are, so what, I reckon Arsenal could say that about you the "majority" of the time.

Anyway, back to the original topic which seemed to have got de-reailed thanks to someone not being able to take a joke.

Why do you keep posting links to West Ham blogs that are utterly full of ****, IZWT?
Every single one of them just cries about how Spurs are some sort of bad sports because we challenged a blatantly ridiculous and bent ruling.
It was so openly indefensible that they chucked the result out and started again.

The whole thing still stinks and I'm glad the Levy's just using it to get what's best for Spurs at the current site, while making things difficult for Gold, Sullivan, Brady and their various cronies.
I hope that Barry Hearn continues to **** West Ham over once we've got what we're after, too.

You've seen enough of my comments to know the answer to that one, Ensil!
I'm pretty sure that we can, thank ****.

I don't mind IZWT posting on here as often as he likes, as long as he stops posting other peoples' ridiculous opinions and banging on about totally off-topic crap.

PNP - so what is it you/Levy are really after?

Is it a nice new stadium relocated in Stratford that proves value for money for the taxpayer or is it that you just don't feel like stumping up the money for the NDP?

It seems to me that Levy's using the OS to gain financial leverage for the NDP, whilst simultaneously trying to attach as many different clauses and complications the your attempts to get a free stadium.

Why do you think that your owners want to move to Stratford?

Again where did I state were weren't? It seems to me the old World Cup bit of humour has got you all worked up? I threw back the very comment that one of yours had thrown at me.

Define "Big", are NUFC a big club, 50,000 most weeks, but no major trophy in over 55 years?

That's a very nice story and all that, but we really didn't celebrate too much about finishing 9th that year, it really was more about you finishing 5th (which I thought was a great effort personally)

YES we were a top flight club before 1958 and we have spent more than 42 seasons in the top flight.

That "points" table is all very well, but it doesn't really tell the story does it, a team could consistently gather more points in a lower division without actually going anywhere.

    Try again <ok>

I think that's the top-flight points table, so gaining points in lower divisions wouldn't contribute.
Pretty sure that Orient have more than 21 points in their entire history, for a start.

As previously mentioned, one of yours threw that comment out, I threw it back based on your comment thinking we will be paying for all the conversion costs.

Do you hate NUFC and their fans? A false rivalry? Yep we made it all up just for you to get worked up about <laugh> But of course Spurs fans are whiter than white right?

Anyway back to the OS, which was the reason for being on here. Yep that would be terrible if we were to actually rival you right? Got news for you, pretty sure we will still get the OS and really for a fraction of what is should probably cost. Levy's job was to do the best for Spurs, which in the main is probably to leverage the NDP. He just didn't like that someone may get something for nothing.

"Seems" - I would certainly await the details.

I'll give you credit, you do stick to the same cycle.

    Abuse
    Grammar
    Take ball home

Why can't you just stick to the subject/article? I come on here to "debate" about the OS, why do you find it so challenging to stick to that? I post information and links and an opinion.

If it is, then I stand corrected, I didn't pay it too much attention (only scrolled down so far)as it wasn't the real reason for posting on this article.

If you look back, then I admit from a taxpayer standpoint I agreed about the Spurs bid.

As things stand now, yes it "could" be a drain on the taxpayer, however I doubt it. Lets say we get it and pay the rent, plus other events, it should easily be covered.

If the Newham/WHU deal had been allowed to stand, there was a chance that everyone won, Newham would get significant coin out of it, WHU would pay for the upkeep of the stadium with actually "owning" it.

Do you really think Levy is worried about the taxpayer in all this, when he's out for government funding to help with NDP?

The OS was a means to an end for him.

PNP with all due respect, I never deviated (originally) from the OS topic. One poster got all hot under the colar about someone joking about 1966 <doh>
I responded to that "off-topic crap".

Bringing links to other articles, what's the problem? It's opinion and viewpoint, isn't this what these forum's are "supposed" to be for?

Newham would've benefited more from the Spurs bid.
They wouldn't have had to loan anyone millions that they don't have and they'd have an additional team bringing revenue into the borough.

You're posting links to West Ham blogs, that largely consist of rather bitter sounding blokes saying, "Spurz is ****erz for this!", and contributing nothing to the debate.
The fact that the blogger believes that Spurs have somehow cost the taxpayer £60m says it all.
