i'm going on a 2 week early shift (god help me), then 2 week backshift rota. Been funny as **** the last few days, watching them squirm. Even yesterday, last day, oh paul, i don't have you on the manpower....Do me a favour and keep yourself busy, try not to take the piss It was a bank holiday, single time and double lieu.... Actually i only took the piss for a few hours, then got to cold.. Although i did have really extended breaks, i mean really extended... I actually could have just ****ed off home, come back at 9.30pm they wouldn't have know.
I'm not scared of a bit of **** . Found this really old pic. Look at how small I was 2nd from right top row... tiny.. Still one of the youngest to get a green beret. A mere child. Globe and laurel at 18.
Hardest looking football team photo I have seen. Presume the one in the middle at the bottom is the goalkeeper as he has mud all over his face.
I've booked up some nights near Snowdonia. Just used up my Travelodge vouchers, and booked the one in Caernarfon for 3 nights. Went for that as it's on the waterfront, near the castle and figured it would be a good base for breakfast and supplies in the mornings. Going in mid August so might swerve Snowdon and look to climb one of the other peaks.
Morning mate. Just up and I've invited the old man round last night for lunch and to give me a hand with the kitchen, should be here around 1, for some poached eggs and hard labour. Banging day out there, might get some brews with the mrs after and go over the river if its still nice by the time I'm done with the kitchen.
I'd avoid Snowdon like the plague, they're queuing to get to the top, the council or whoever have just put the parking fee up from £10 for 12 hours to £25 to try and deter folk. The Arrans are great walking, you hardly ever see another soul either but you're probably a little too far north to make a day of it. They're not too keen on the English in Caernarfon, not from my and few I know, experiences anyway.
Soz mate, just to be clear. I'm not pissed and itching for a keyboard fight with that completely normal post.
Easiest one to get to from there is definitely Snowdon. Just don't go up to Pen y Pass or the use the Llanberis path. I'd say if you go Rhyd Du route it'd be (fairly) quiet. Packed at the summit though, regardless.
I'll screen shot you a route when I'm back in work Tuesday. One cracking little mountain to go up would be Tryfan. Little bit further away though is all.
Did Tryfan the summer 2 years ago, great walk, bit of a scramble in places but worth it for the views, we had a lovely clear day.
Having a gastroscopy on Tuesday so just been for my covid swab and now got to isolate for the next two days. Pretty **** way to spend half the BH weekend tbh.
Be fine bud. Just routine to check for couple things, most likely gonna have to make dietary changes. Just hope it's no celiac as I'll be ****ed lol.
